My webmistress has suggested I change my current website being it has flash and she suggested it might be difficult for some to view on certain iphones etc. I have always thought my site was unique and I love it as it is but I was curious, perhaps she is correcting in her suggestions. Any thoughts either way?

It's not just the flash.  I love your site; it's lovely and fun to read.  But it takes an investment of time that some people may not have or would be hard on a PDA.  Someone could build you a non-flash site really quickly using the material you have.  IM me if you want.  Happy holidays.

It sounds like we addressed the web design query, but now I am intrigued about the anonymous "Brains with Beauty."  That combination happens to be my weakness. [s]

Flash works fine on android devices (which according to recent polls is the majority of smartphones these days), but even then, it does eat up bandwidth for those who don't have unlimited data. But another alternative is to create a mobile version of your website. I don't know the technical details of how to do so, but I'm sure your webmistress can help you out. It will automatically send mobile devices to a different version of your website (generally with minimal graphics and no animation).
This would allow you to have the best of both worlds. You can check out my website from mobile and non-mobile devices to see an example of what I'm talking about.

Please, no flash. No fancy scripts or other stuff that can freeze up. It's not just phones. Even from a full computer, many of us have to get in and get out quickly and use filters or other protection against cookies, trails and freeze-ups.

This isn't Disney. This isn't Yahoo. This isn't Amazon.

You could offer options on your "HOME" or enter page:
Click here for [flash]. Click here for [mobile]. Click here for [vanilla html].
Then everyone is happy!

I have invested heavily in a flash website including just now attaching a dotcom to it. You all can check it out using your computer! No issues with the flash there! LOLOLOLOL! :)

And I thought what you were asking is if you should flash on your site. [s]  The answer to that, of course, is definitely.
