Recommendations, IMHO is one of the classiest moves in the hobby :wink:  

While in Cbus, LA (Lovely Alexis) could not make one of our dates so she recommended I see Roxie very early in my hobby years. :ka  

I thought that was so cool, yet very few have gave me recommendation since. :?  

I understand it is a competitive business but I have seen a few ladies that said, omg you must see ..... :P  

When a hobbyist visits the Boston area, I get some PM's.... I feel it is the right thing to do to spread the wealth and good cheer. :wink

Do you find it curious that you have never received a recommendation to see other ladies but yet you've been told to avoid some?

Know that when a provider warns a client not to see another provider 95% of the time it is motivated by jealousy or a petty vendetta.  

In my opinion one of the worst plagues of this business is the pillow talk gossip / negative chatter about other providers & hobbyists not currently laying in the bed with the person(s) running their mouth idly.
I can't tell you how many times over the years clients have walked in the door only to later admit "I came to see you because I was curious after so-and-so said she can't stand you/the things you say/your business/etc."

So I don't know what your position is on the "advice" you've received LoveToDaty but I would say take any negativity shared with you by an individual not a fellow hobbyist with a grain of salt unless you have absolute trust in the temperament and emotional stability of provider who is sharing it.

I've never done the number-crunching but I'm fairly certain I have a 70-80% repeat rate.

While a few clients will see me exclusively for a time and then move on after several months or so most of my clients remain very active in between visits with me.  I love giving them recommendations.

Most of my clients travel 'preference circles'- they like to see brown girls or chubby girls or uber GFE girls or BJ queen girls etc.  
If a client's taste is easily discernible from his body of reviews or referrals on P411/Date-Check I may give suggestions in line with his preferences during chats about the business.  
I will especially do this if a client is a business traveler who frequents Boston and isn't knowledgeable about the scene or if the client is on a "tear" seeing many new providers in a very short time span and wants to know "what next?!!".  
I will also give my thoughts to brand new clients to ensure that they have positive experiences with reputable providers going forward.

I've had so many clients come to meet me purely on the thoughts of other providers, some of whom are only aware of me online through TER or my website.  I love hearing "so-and-so suggested you" (and knowing the next girl is hearing the same came from me)- it really strengthens our networks, makes new friendships and business relationships possible and it keeps it sexy for all involved.  
 
The game is about variety and everything is enhanced when clients can move fluidly between us in circles of trust.  
So recommendations IMO = sexy goodness for everyone.

Rather than wait for a lady to recommend someone how about asking her if she knows someone you might like? Crazy how I see in reviews things like " I wish she would have ... Just ask her and if she say no then move on.
