The nicest is the Back Bay which is a convenient ride and parking for clients, and has a wealth of cultural. shopping, and dining choices.  But you'd be hard pressed to find a 4 star hotel for less than $400/night especially during the summer/fall season.

Harvard Square in nearby Cambridge is about the same, but not as convenient for clients to get to and park.

The Theater District is a bit cheaper and about a mile away.  Not bad but parking and traffic is worse, but still OK.  Kendall Square in Cambridge is fairly similar.

The airport is a bargain, but unless you like to watch planes land and take off, it's a bit of a wasteland.

There are the hotels along Route 128 in Waltham and Newton that are very convenient for clients and not bad cost-wise, but again you're no where interesting to wander around

agreeing with Mr Fisher - no surprise here...

There are several very nice hotels near the Hines Auditorium as well as another two at Copley Plaza. All are extremely convenient for folks, both driving and taking public transport.

If you decide to look at Cambridge, may I suggest looking at Kendall Square (nearest Boston) and Harvard Square (more distant). There is at least one goo hotel near Central Square, as well.

Welcome to Beantown! :)

More convenient to get to and great to walk around in during your breaks.

There was a recent thread in reply to Robin Ardeur about Cambridge places.
"Visiting providers - is Cambridge an option?" RobinArdeur | 6/19/2015 4:51:19 PM

I mentioned that there are a couple of good hotels near the Galleria Mall in Cambridge (Lechmere - Green Line; lots of garage parking nearby; free Galleria Mall shuttle bus to various places).

I PMed Robin other info which brings up a general question that others might be able to contribute answers or opinions to here (or start a new thread: "Area hotels with reliable (or unreliable) shuttle services"?)

If you aren't driving, some hotels might be out of the way for YOU because they are distant from downtown and other points of interest.  However, those places could be more convenient for US because of ample parking, less traffic, ....  During your down time you get to look out the window at the highway or a parking lot.  But many local area hotels do offer free shuttle services to downtown and Cambridge and other locations: it's their attempt to capture the tourists who would prefer to stay in the center of the city.  During a break, you can shuttle downtown and shuttle back in time for a scheduled get together.

The thing is, I only know a few specific places with free shuttle services and I don't know how reliable they really are.  And I don't think they offer those services to us :-)  just registered guests (you).  Can people help to compile such a list here?  Or maybe there is already such a list on a travel site

Time to repost a map of Boston Neighborhoods.  Don't worry - not everyone agrees with every border and sometimes not even the name of a neighborhood or sub-neighborhood.  Copley Square, a sub-neighborhood is sort of in the middle of yellow Back Bay.  The Galleria Mall is in Cambridge, right near that little piece of the orange West End that connects Boston to Cambridge

at an airport hotel that had a great little shuttle service to downtown. I don't know how they'd know you were or weren't staying at the hotel.

So the Airport is convenient for incall? It is pretty remote, though...

Where is Logan and are there any quality outcall GFE providers who will come to my hotel when I overnight in Logan to catch an early flight the next day? I don't have any fixed dates at the moment but will be doing this once a month for the next several months.

Logan Airport is in East Boston, across the harbor, and just off the northeast edge of the PREVIOUSLY posted neighborhood map.  Like many urban airports, there is public (MBTA) transportation and private (cab, car service, uber(?)) service.

I'm in the wrong category to answer the "outcall to the airport" question but I'm pretty sure there are some who will.  If she drives, she'll want you to cover the gas, toll and parking, too.  Google "Logan Airport" and your favorite downtown landmark and you'll get an exact layout.

Here's the "stylized" MBTA spider map so you'll have stretch things a bit to get a real geographic matchup
