This is a "what if" situation as far as the hair change scenario. Was just curious how others felt if they see a woman's picture and a very different looking lady answers the door. Mind you she is the person in both pictures just that she made a major change in her looks such as hair style/color

Imagine an attractive black woman with long black hair. Again she wants a change and goes with short blonde hair but doesn't update her photos. Wont you be rather shocked when entering the room? She didn't steal anyone's pics. She just didn't update the rather large change

Just using Miley Cyrus as an extreme example we can all relate to.

I see an ad for a hot girl (to me at least) with gorgeous long dirty blond or light brown hair. I call and set an appointment. The lady that answers has short spiked bleach blond hair ! (yuk)  Being a gentleman I would stay anyway at this point assuming she checked out with reviews and all but I am disappointed she looks SO different. To me a woman's hair is the ultimate jewelry !

This is the same lady she isn't stealing someone's pictures. She just decided to make a change in her looks. I don't mind if she mentioned this in her ad or showed even a quick cell phone picture saying "this is my new dew" so you know ahead of time. I have seen plenty of ads with very different hair dews and she says which ones are the current, that's cool!

Is this false advertising? Deceptive, Would you stay or leave, Knock a few points in your appearance section of the review??

The closest I came was a lady I finally met after some back and forth. Got to the room and she let me in. I actually asked her if she was "Susan" (name changed to protect the innocent) She laughed and said yes with a puzzled look. I mentioned that her pictures she had no tattoos yet the lady that I met had tons of them!! She did have a good reason, that they were distinctive and didn't want to be recognized but again I would have liked to have known since I am not a big fan of them. BTW I did have a good time and glad I saw her but did have to rate her accordingly in my review.

How do you guys/gals feel about this?

You need to ask.

I am sorry for your experience and YES, it is false advertising. Deceptive: "Perhaps"

The good news for me as I do not give a flying fuck about her tattoos, looks, piercings
or if she smokes. I do care that she is clean and can fuck my brains out.

For the hobbyist, that have wants, in your example hair type... I would be sure to confirm.

TER, does a fairly good job with description, IE Tattoos, Piercings, Were the reviews wrong?

To prevent this kind of rip-off situation, I suggest using Tin-eye or Google Photo search to see if a gal is stealing photos.

As for the tats, it is common to erase them for anonymity, but the fact of the tats should be mentioned.

Not so in all cases, mrfisher!  "Effect" can be used as a verb, as in "to effect a result," and "affect" can be used as a noun, as in "his affect was flat."  I try to use "affect" as a cause, and "effect" as a result.  As I tell my students, if you have trouble knowing when to use either word, find another way to say what you want!  Class dismissed.

... I usually decline to meet with them because I would prefer to NOT spend my evening getting chopped up into little pieces in their wood shed."

I follow it up by emailing them this music video-

so I thank you for the correction.  However, my dictionary lists this as an obsolete usage.

In nearly all cases, if one uses effect as a noun in the sense of it being the result of affecting something, they will be fine.

I do love to learn about language.

When she first arrived at her incall, she methodically unpacked her cosmetics, lingerie, safety supplies, candles and other EFFECTS. Next, she meticulously showered, shaved, dressed, and applied her make-up. She took a moment to glance in the mirror and admire the combined EFFECT: she looked younger, brighter, and refreshed. Finally, she hurried to turn on her music play-list and light a dozen candles, which she placed around the room. She found that this was the best way to EFFECT a change to the space; turning the harsh edges of a generic hotel room into a warm, inviting boudoir.

Just then, she heard a soft knock on the door. As soon as her date for the evening walked several steps into the room, she pressed her body into his and greeted him with a deep kiss. The change in his AFFECT was immediate. It was as if the trials and travails of the day had faded into a distant memory, as his facial features shifted into a broad smile. Her gaze traveled down the length of his frame and settled on the front of his trousers. She was pleased to see that the kiss had had an uplifting AFFECT on other parts of his physique, as well!

He got royally fucked by almost everyone he met; and not in a good way.

I'll weigh in since I actually studied with Noam.  The "affect" in the final sentence is called a structural ambiguity where either word works. In these cases it is advisable to recast the sentence to eliminate the ambiguity. The balance of your example shows differentiation.

Didn't expect an entire English lesson lol
Funny part is I still don't get which is which haha

it is deceptive if drastic changes. You saw a photo and liked it, then she chops it all off? Very different.

As far as tattoos, it is a security issue... but most gals have it in their ads or reviews. I have a few myself, but not going to show them. Identifying factors should not be shown, if the gal is smart. Girls shouldn't lie about them... but also guys need to read the reviews and ads first.

At least you session was good, but she should have updated photos. A few inches? No biggie. All off or close to it? Big problem.

Agreed, one of my goddesses (Freya) changes her hair color frequently (every month or two), so I have her meet up with my photographer just as frequently.
