I already predicted my reply to maurice would get deleted.

The thread pointers have disappeared, but here are the links to the posts, which still seem to be active:

But I think it really sucks that someone can't post a legitimate question about one of the practices that TER endorses without getting thrown off the site.  It does a disservice to the hobbyists when a ladies reviews are removed.  I'll concede that some statements (maybe most) that lead to someone being banned are indefinsible...if you don't believe me just check the TER mailbag - some outrageous examples there.  I read the original post by Party Time and it really didn't seem to go over any edge.

I fully realize that the free speech argument doesn't fly in this venue but the type of control exhibited in this particular instance is not good for any of us.

TER is my information source of choice - I only occassionally check the other board and I still think this site offers the best information in the best format but I'm dissapointed by the actions taken over the last 12 hours or so.

For the record, I've never seen Jenna or even spoken with anyone from Party Time.

I agree.  This is all a very disturbing issue. I, for one, am rethinking my interest in continuing my membership.  I suppose if TER bans me for writing this post, then my decision is moot.

This is not the first provider who's misteriously vanished. In my opinion, if they vanish at the request of the provider that's fine. But if reviews are erased because TER has an issue with them....well, I have a problem with that. It's one thing to prohibit an individual's speech.  But, the reviews are from other "members", not from the offending individual. Want's the logic for erasing reviews?

I also have never met Jenna. So, my interest is not about her. I pay my membership to TER because I want to know how others feel about the many providers out there. That information seems to be compromised.

but also am a little puzzled about what prompted such an extreme measure.  Perhaps there was an email or back channel exchange which we are unaware of, but the initial post itself did not seem particularly inflammatory or objectionable IMHO. Whatever the case, the disciplinary action without explanation certainly has me gun shy at posting and concerned about what other issues I'm unaware of that I need to stay away from.  As a paying member, I'm a little concerned about the chilling effect such actions have on promoting a sense of community and openess.

and I too don't wish to be band. Jenna was very nice and Maurice was great. It is a real shame. This board is the very easy to use, must have been set up by a programmer. There is a link on the other board (which I just joined, but not all that crazy about) that takes you to a discussion board on TER and it will blow your mind.
