Lost power Friday night, had a generator by Saturday afternoon. power is now back on.
Not to bad.

That the streets are cleared and I'm able to walk around outside. Not as cold as I thought it was going to be.

and called in to work that she could't make it in.

On the other hand, I had to pay double for the hotel room.  They let me out of a special low price pre-pay on Saturday, but the Sunday rate was almost double the low rate I had gotten.

I can't blame them, I was lucky to get a room as that area of the state has a lot of power outages and the place was full of people trying to get a hot shower and a warm place to sleep.

All and all I haven't made out too badly.
