is to do away with the designated hitting rule. It's been discussed before.

If pitchers had to bat for themselves, they'd behave. They'd concentrate on the strike zone and NOT the batter's head/body  zone.

The pitch to Garcia was clearly thrown behind him. He ducked and got clipped on his back. The Manny pitch was high. Watch the replay and you'll see Posada is in the squat position behind the plate and catches the ball with his arm straight up.

There's a huge difference between throwing behind a batter (Pedro) and "chin music" to move the batter away from the inside part of the plate (Clemens)

Now I have been posting here about the sox BUT the redsox and all their fans should be embarreses at what pedor did to don zimmer. That is exactly why i hate the red sox and there fans some times

Pedro was lucky all he lost tasy night was that game and not something else.

What he did is down right a DESCRACE to thorw Zimmer to the ground That would be like me watching the game and throwing someones grandfatherr on the ground.

I hope he gets fined and expelled.

Clemens could not pitch in side but pedro could yeah all right..
They were both warned. This Goes to show you that this is why the boston redsox dont deserve the series .

There fans acted like savages last night. Come on grow up.

and how about that asshole that started trouble in the bullpen.

I am sorry to say this but that behavior ia unacceptable

Yeah the Yankees may have won the most playoff games and world series  and maybe its because they have a 180million payroll

but i have never see that behavior by the yankees all teams rush the feel and get in to each others face

BUT to physically throw another person to the ground.
PEDRO is a big Pussy I hope all you redsox fans are happy
what if zimmer got really hurt
like cracked his head open
how would you all feel

Well This goes to show that the Boston redsox team are poor sports.

even other ball players have said pedro was way out of line

Let me tell you something the YANKEES are going to kick bostons ass the next 2 games and we are simply the best baseball team in the Major leagues

lmao how ppl always see things one-sided, u should take off the blinders, btw , not a sox or yankee fan, from pa originaaly could pretty much care less bout b-ball to begin with.
zimmer charged pedro, watch the replays dude, pedro defused the situation by pushing hm aside, the guy is top heavy and fell. pedro should have done what? , stood there and take a beating, care to guess what would have happened if a yankee coach started wailing on a teams star pitcher. and yes like you said thats like saying if your sitting in the stands and a fan and throwing a grandfather to the ground, i sure youd sit there while this grandfather wailed on you
as for the bullpen, seems some of your self-rightous yankees players started that and charges are pending
also nice to see in your message that a yankee fan has admitted to buying all thier trophies.you must feel proud

First of all get your facts straight..Zimmer that FAT BASTARD went lunging at Pedro and all Pedro did was push him aside and that old fart FELL DOWN .Zimmer 72 had no buisness running out like that and when your in the middle of a fight and you see someone rushing at you like that you defend yourself. You don't stand still and say " Thank You Sir, May I have another one"
As far as what happened in the bullpen it seems that Jeff Nelson that scum bag was the instigator and police are charging him .
Now back to Pedro I agree with you what he did was Discratefull by hitting Garcia and then pointing to his head and telling the Yankees thats what he was doing.
Too bad it was Roger's last game here and thats how its gonna be remembered.Truth be told Clemens pitched a great game.
And by the way Hogan your constant RED SOX bashing is Getting Old.
If you don't like Boston then go back to NY, Beleive me no one gonna shed any tears if you leave

That's been his modus operandi his whole career. As long as keeps pitching well, Boston fans and management will cut him all the slack he needs.

The rules should be changed on this - for example, a pitcher throws at a batter and hits him (let's call it intentional) there should be no warning to the other side until after the FIRST opposing batter gets hit. Otherwise all you get is one side getting attacked. Trust me, it's no fun being hit by a baseball.

Manny was way out of line and his reaction was stupid.

Zimmer was way out of line (btw Pedro was taunting him when he threw him down)

And for the rest of the facts, the bullpen crew member was in Nelson's face and (supposedly) threw a punch at him - You don't expect retaliation? - Boston mgmt really should control their employees better - don't you think?

IMHO

im sure it was a total accident and just the fact he was in your precious pinstripes, he gets a bye ??...talk about a headhunter

Truth Hurts5704 reads

Nope. Not a bye. He beaned him which is part of the retaliation that happens in the game due to the designated hitter rule.
You don't hear of beanings in the NL regular season because pitchers bat for themselves.

before Roger was a Yank, he head-hunted a few of them also. When he became a member of the Yankees team he got a rude awakening from his team mates who told him they don't go for that crap and that he has to earn respect from them.

He did!!!

The Red Sox proved to be a bunch of losers in Game 3.  Manny Ramirez was a jerk for acting out after a high pitch.  The organization was bush league for having an employee rally the crowd from the Yankee bull pen.  And Pedro was a jerk for pointing to the head and for tossing Zimmer.  I guess the only people that pathetic bunch can take is the over 70 crowd.
