Why can not some of these Angencies say something like "Susan is not coming to Boston, because we thought we could not book 10 appointments back to back".

Instead we get "Susan has the flu" or "The dog ate her ticket" or "the flight did not leave Miami due to snow".

Honesty would work better with me.

several of my family had a 48 hour stomach flu over the weekend and it was a bad one.  Is it that you don't think providers can get it or what?  I would think they are quite suseptable to catching viruses.

Certain excuses seem to crop up more often than one would think likely.  And sometimes the circumstances are curious...  I had an agency cancel a Sunday afternoon (5 pm) appointment because a lady "suddenly" came down with the flu.  But they wondered if I wanted to book with her the following day...  

It's no secret among hobbyists and ladies alike that business is slow right now.  But sometimes it seems as if the Emperor is wearing no clothes, but no one's willing to admit it...  That's why I take these excuses with a grain of salt.  Sure, I realize that flu happens, but so does lack of business.  But rarely will an agency admit it...

My girls almost never get sick but they all seem to have car problems, boyfriend problems, problems with their kids, lost Id's, lost wallets, missed the train or bus and every other kind of excuse you can think of! LOL

I know from my own experience that if providers really had all of the car accidents they claimed, insurance companies should charge a "provider premium" for car insurance!

Oh well, I couldn't resist adding my two cents to this thread.

Since everything that we do here is based on fantasy, I'm not sure if you're not asking for too much. The hobby world is the last place to look for a straight answer to even the simplist of questions. Having said that, I marvel at the fact that people don't often see that it's more beneficial and, usually, less work to just tell the truth!

Believe me, you have nothing to worry about. There are others there who shill their brains out, yet nothing is ever said. Instead you and others get spanked by those "good ol' boys".

I called a girl this past weekend and the guy tells me that she is booked the entire trip.  I asked if I could pay for an all nighter and was told she does not want to take so many appointments because she needs the rest.  I then asked if he would call me if something opens up, he responded with "there is a wait list of 30 guys".  I then look at her reviews, they were not that great.

AA is in the top 10 everywhere.
Shilling is pushing someone with no track record.

You could argue that a lady who is top 10 everywhere doesn't need guys tripping over each other posting about her. It's one thing to reply to a provider's ad with a complement. If you initiate a thread about her and include her contact info, you are (1) breaking TER posting rules and (2) shilling for her.

weeks ago.  Unfortunately, she had to cancel the trip at the last minute since her period was late for 5 days.  (She finally got her period on the day when her tour was supposed to start.)

She has to pay back her agency the cost of advertising, tickets and hotel room.
