Hey, everyone, DO NOT OPEN any email from oldelamplighter2002. This is another addy I use on Yahoo, and either my office or home machine, or someones machine who has the email address in their address books is infected with the Netsky virus. I am trying to upgrade my Virus scans now and see if it mine. One or more of you, sexy1jill, you must be one, have been recieving music files from this address. Dont have any at the office, but were some at home since the computer was given to us. Have deleted all of them and am trying to take proper steps. Please accept my apologies since I dont know for sure what happened, but they are coming thru that email addy. If you have that addy in any address book, I am told you need to get rid of it.....OMR

Most of these viruses now take email addresses off infected computers to make the infected email appear that it came from another computer. For instance, if my computer was infected and I had both yours and Jill's address in my address book, my computer may send an infected email to Jill and show you as the sender instead of me.  

I get email everyday telling me that antivirus software blocked an infected email that came from my (personal) email address. My computers are not infected so I just ignore them.

Check your antivirus updates but don't pull your hair out. You're probably safe.

It is very possible that is what happened, although my virus software is in sad need of update, and I have gone through both machines and deleted all MP3 files, as they came with the machines, so I have no interest in them. I believe your scenario is probably true because I keep no provider/hobbyists email addys in any address books on either machine.
