Although at times the number of provider ads on the regional boards can feel a little overwhelming, it does serve a useful function for hobbyist and providers alike.  It’s good marketing for the woman and good information for the men.

For the most part the provider ads are pretty simple and straight forward, some are very well written, creative even humorous giving a clear picture of the lady and her services.  Some are tacky and lack imagination but almost always they’re written to extol the virtues and the services of the woman posting.  The vast majorities of the ads are positive and speak only about their services and the availability of the Lady posting.

But I’ve been noticing another trend over the past several months.  Maybe it’s the economy maybe it’s something else.   But some of the “older” ladies, by no means all but a few, have taken to writing ads that aren’t positive at all.  These ads belittle and demean the marketing ads and business practices of the younger, and I would guess more successful woman posting here.

I think it’s terribly sad when one has to pick on and denigrate the practices of other woman, only so they can promote themselves.   This isn’t positive or well received.

We’re all here because we enjoy P4P as means to satisfy our physical and sometimes emotional needs.  We are all adults and should do better at treating each other as adults, with respect and decorum.

There is no need here to imply or state a negative value judgment against other woman’s marketing or ingenuity in an ad.   Everyone should sell them self on their own merits and leave the merits of other providers out of it.  Degrading others, even through implication, does not do any body any good.  There is plenty here for everyone, this isn’t musical chairs chasing the last client.

If I guy wants a 20 y/o with a body of marble statue, I’m sure he can find that here. If a guy is looking for a White, a Black, a Hispanic or a Canadian I’m sure he can find it here.  If a guy wants 40 something MILF with the body of 28 year old, I know he can find it here because I have!  If a guy wants to find 50 or 60 year old woman still trying to run with the Philly’s I bet he can find one here too.

Shit, I bet I guy could find a one legged Ho with a speech impediment and carpel tunnel syndrome here too.

SO if these ladies don’t have enough game left to attract clients because of what they have to offer, rather than maligning what others are offering, then these ladies should think about another line of work.

First, I find it interesting that your post is presented as pretty much anonymous... no postings, no registration, no way to contact you.

Second, I have not, at all noticed the trend that seems to have put a bee in your bonnet.

While there is an abundance of young and pretty girls who can get me excited just by the sight of them, there is something to be said and appreciated about an older woman who has experience to share.

At the end of the day, after many dalliances with the younger girls, many of whom seem to feel they've done their job by just lying there looking pretty... and happy that you've made a donation to their college fund... I am much more appreciative of older women.

So, my advice is just to calm down and not try to read malice into the ads of older providers.

In appreciation of older women, good night.

I never implied or stated a preference for younger or older woman and I would agree completely with your sentiment of appreciated for the experience of an older woman.

My post speak only to the tenor of the ads written by "some" not all, not even most, older woman.

Simply put, the intention of my post was to point out the negativity being express towards others in some ads by older providers which appeared here this week.

I don't like the thinly veiled attacks while trying promote themselves.  As a provider, make your case on your merits not by talking down others.

There are several older providers here in Boston who are some of the best overall providers I've ever been with.  But the ones I visit show respect towards the people who participate in the hobby.

I personally wouldn't spend a red cent on someone with such angst towards their peers.  I just would like to see all who post here to act like adults, not school yard bullies with an agenda to promote.

As someone once said, "From 18 to 80, if they can't walk wheel em."

Just be nice.

other than one person I have seen do that I don't know of anyone else who has.
There are many Ladies older and younger who either live here or visit and they are all quite nice. Their ads read as an ad, not a put down. I read a great deal of ads here and have never seen this *trend* you speak of.
What you don't see is the networking that often goes on between the Ladies. Some ppl seem to think its all about competition and most of us are not competing with anyone. We are all different noone the same. Time with Me is different than time with someone else and so on. We often share clients, have seen many of the same in the same local market.
There is a side of this you the client doesn't see and its not Catty at all. I have met some of the most Amazing women here. I have to say what you are seeing is far from the norm and so unusual. Most woman I have met here are great ppl who have added to my experiences, each one I have the pleasure to meet I feel fortunate to have been able to get to know them. I have a great deal of respect for women in this business and see no jealousy or malice in the majority.
Anyway thats my take on things...

all have a great day!!!

Toodles
Nicole

Other providers' advertisements aren't designed for my consumption.

However, I don't advertise with negativity, I don't directly reference other providers marketing behaviors, visibility, pastimes or volume and I find it offensive when I notice these things in other provider advertisements, particularly if they claim to have a sense of community.

I've addressed this behavior with one person via private message, the communication/message was ignored and there is nothing left to be said.  Hyper sensitivity on the part of the provider/viewer who thinks that advertising on a platform of being a better choice than another provider or service because of the way that they choose to promote their business is futile.
Its one of these things which self-regulate anyway.  Clients attracted to advertisement built on negative platforms and negative references to other services find negative providers with whom they can pontificate about As The Hobby Turns. Clients attracted to positive advertisements which hit the right notes for them find and meet with providers who are less concerned with how services around them promote and more concerned with happily running their own plays.

Xo,
Ally
