ditched by a provider?

After filling an online appointment scheduler, I actually got an email confirmation, which asked me to confirm with a call. Well I called, about 4 hours in advance, and it went well, got the general location and was told to call back. 1/2 hour before. Well I did, and she claimed to be running late do to a power outage, and asked me to call back in 40 min. Well I waited that time plus and additional 45, and made multiple unanswered calls. Is this common, and should I write a negative review, will it make me look bad?

It might of been fate, because I was gun ho about the meet, I set up anothert appointment for that night and had a great experience.

It was Amber Ambrosia, she is visting Boston till the 11th. She sent me an email this morning, responding to mine. She claimed that a power outage on her floor locked her out of her room.

Seems lame, as she had her phone at 1:30, but should of called ASAP to either see if I was still there or appologize.

So she is just a big fibber, to use a polite term.

Thanks for naming her and helping to put an end to this nefarious practice.  Obviously she was holding out for someone else who booked longer or for more $, and kept stringing you along.

I'm also glad to hear that you got your rocks off with someone else.

Good karma!

Thanks for naming this liar, hopefully she never returns to Boston. Unfortunately alot of Indy's are running the same kind of operation, they just book as many appt's as possible, and then it's first come first served. As long as we're naming names, stay away from a girl who goes by the name of Twix. She advertises on BP and CL often, she did pretty much the same thing to me. I called her from the parking lot and she said give me 5 minutes, which turned into 45. I got frustrated and left, I placed a call to her on my way home and she went all Ghetto on me, she started screaming and yelling at me and said she called me several times and got no answer. I hung up on her and realized it was my own fault for dealing with anyone who advertises on those sites. I have read similiar complaints on CL about this Flake, one client went as far as saying she may be Bipolar. I have smartened up and will no longer use either of those sites.

This is a general question, not a criticism.  I have nothing good or bad to say about the girl.

I read TER every day, and have never heard of this girl before.  Why did you pick this girl rather than one of the many that post right here on TER?

So many good, reputable indi's and agencies posting and actively conversing right here..why would anyone need to look anywhere else?

I am not here to defend CL & BP, but there are plenty of well reviewed ladies on BP.
I haven't used CL in ages, but I use BP frequently and I can guarantee you there are plenty of legit and reputable ladies over there.
Of course there are the rip-offs, NCNS and fake pictures but those are everywhere.
Eros and City vibe have plenty of fakes too, and advertising as "VIP" companions.
What I am trying to say is no matter where you search, you always have to do your homework.
That means you have to search for reviews, that's why TER exists!
And the same thing goes to the ladies, no matter where your client got your number from, you will always have to screen him.

Just the 2 cents of this dumb Brazilian immigrant and please pardon my English.

It's rainning like !@#$%^& here in  NY and I hope the weather is better up there in Boston.

She actually was well reviewed on TER. Being new I called and emailed a few people to try to get a date? She responded. But I only contaact well reviewed providers

there is no reason for not answering a call. we hear of alot of the negative providers and bad clients. the reason for a message board is mainly to help provide a clients with a top girl.

Sometimes people run late but with no communication that is considered disrespectful and not professioanl

Its best to list who should be blacklisted if its a client or a provider. it helps keep everyone up to speed what is going on.

I'm very happy that you were able to see someone since our date did not work out. I also apologized to you sincerely at the first oppurtunity I had which was by email after the DSL went back up this morning before my morning run. I did not think it was appropriate to call you later as you never know who will be around and that would be uncomfortable.

I can understand being angry, and I also can understand TER being a place to make sure your money isn't wasted but the gross assumptions, lies, and spitefulness is just crazy. Assuming I had some long line of gentlemen I was only seeing on a 1st come 1st serve basis is ridiculous. It seems although gentlemen patronize us for personal time, their is a very negative undercurrent here that if you misconstrue something to be nefarious you seek to destroy a ladies reputation and interfere with her right to earn. All based on some stereotype of the predatory working girl only out to get your cash. These are dangerous assumptions to make. There is always some guy lurking with issues that thinks he will be justified in anything he chooses to do cause, hey we're bad unfeeling souless people, right? The same kind of justification that makes a mild manner medical student think its ok to rob, brutalize and shoot a provider in her hotel room

Actionalltime, despite you being angry there was more to my email than what you posted but I will chalk that up to a good old fashioned attempt at retribution on your part. I'd probably be pissed too, but after reading my reviews and seeing I am always on time, and considerate you should have known it was not intentional. And to clarify, there is an electrical element to the door locks or I would have been able to get in my room and not have to walk down almost 20 flights of stairs.

It's great to have some place to vent but one should be more responsible with their statements. Psychologically money, sex, anger, and violence are very closely associated.

I had a similar experience today...with a different provider though.  As you all know we had a big snow storm today.  I was told by the provider that she was getting there the night before and would be available.  We talked yesterday afternoon to confirm and talk about the storm.

With the weather we had, I set out towards the location early expecting traveling conditions to be bad.  It took me a little over an hour to get someplace that usually takes 20 minutes.  I called while en route like I was asked, but only got voice mail, I left a message.   I was a little concerned, but it is not unusual for providers not to pick up right away.  I called again when I got off the exit, but didn't leave a message.  5 minutes before our appointment, I called again, voice mail again, I leave another message.  I called 20 minutes after our appointed time, voice mail and message.

I turned around and went back home, a vacation day wasted from work as I was really looking forward to finally meeting up with the well-reviewed and beautiful woman.

When I got home, I sent an email - 4 hours later I got my reply:

"A snow storm happened hon, power outage!"

I replied back, asking why she could not call me to at least let me know something was up.  Her reply:

"I don't currently use a cell phone"

What kind of traveling provider doesn't use a cel phone, especially after telling me to call her just prior to the appointment?

I have myself experienced being stood up by providers after they reconfirmed our appointment, usually by not answering their phone while I am trying to get through on the second call.  It is maddening, and not helped by lame excuses like "my cell phone died" or "I have bad reception in this hotel."   But I never, ever received as rational and articulate an explanation as this.

Wish you two could just kiss and make up.

If you (or anyone else for that matter)read any of the posts I have made on this, there is no mention of myself being angry or looking for redemption.

Being angry at a person I never meet for not, and possibly never see again other than for that hour for not shwoing up would be pretty sad. And in my first post, I was hessitant about addressing the issue, and how to do it.

From reading this board and provider and agency sites I have learned that pulling a No Call, No Show is the cardnial sin in this hobby. Actually, it is oin any sales por bussines industry. Please anyone corect me if I'm wrong on that. And I suspect if a client did a NCNS with a provider or an agency, there is a good chance they would probably never be considered as a client again.

As for the emails, The response I recieved at 6:16 am was;

"My apologies the electricity went out on my floor and I couldn't get into my room."

My response

"I wish you would of either answered, called back or just cancelled
when we spoke. I am sure you would want that same consideration to
avoid wasting time."

Her final email;

"I had no way of getting in my room till nthe power was on again, the key cards are electric. My phone id and everything was in my room and I had to wait 3 hours. Obviously, the power was not an issue when I spoke to you but when it was I went down to the front desk and could not get back in.

Again my apologies."

I do not think I was out of line, vidictive, angry in anything I wrote in the emails or on this board.

Any assumptions about what may of been going on where not made by me, but other posters. None of which I acknowledged or claimed to agree with.

All I know is we had an appointment, which when I called at 1:30 as agreed upon, I was told you need additional time do to a power outage, and to call at 2:10. Somewhere in those 40 mins, and the time after you somehow no longer had a cell phone to answer or call with. I recieved an email 16 hrs later, which was a response to an email I made while I was waiting.

I have no ill will to Amber on this, but posting was information for others who may have had a similiar experience. Things happen, and if it was an isolated experience I doubt any other men will take credance with it, especially if they spend 10 seconds looking at her site. Hell I went back to it and the thought about trying to call again briefly popped in my head.

No ill will was ment by any of this.

Well as they say there are 3 side to every story.

In this case his, her's and what really happened.

My question to Actionalltime, is since you know the general area of the hotel. Did you check and see if there really was a power outage in the area. This would confirm her story without question.

I really find it hard to believe in this day that a hotel or area of a town would be with power for 3 hour and it not be in the news or the local paper.

Also 16 hour to get back to you sounds a little funny. Figuring say 4 hours for the power loss finally back to the room, knowing she missed an appointment or 2(maybe). It took her 12 hours to send an email. She said she didn't want to call late at night, not knowing who would be around. But I don't think you would have to worry about that with emails.

Just my thoughts.

Lamount,

I was actualy waiting in the hotel lobby and bar which had full power. My phone was also picking up the hotel wifi. But I deal with hotel and highrise construction and its entirely possible that a floor could loose power, and being during the wouylfd cause minimial comnmotion.

I didn't ask as because she'd be in touch or not. The reason why mattered.

I would of preferred a call but that didn't happen. Its been talked about enough and it seems to be an isolated instance. Shit happens.

I.Doubt this is going to effect her much, and I really hope it doesn't. Shens smoking hot with good reviews, men certainly aren't going to stop calling.
