There is a woman in the MA/ CT area who has chosen to use my stage name. The only difference is she is spelling her name Erika Sweets instead of Erica Sweets. I've worked long and hard to make my name synonymous with dependability, discretion, and a wicked good time.  For all interested parties,  please be certain you are contacting the correct person when you are looking for a play pal. I'm sure she has many fine qualities but originality  doesn't seem to be one of them.
Sincerely,
 The Real Erica Sweets

Knockoff's are simply obnoxious! Tall boots to fill trying to copy you and your A+++ figure!  Still frustrating, happens too often. Sending a pm with a couple ideas. Hang in there, Boston men are savvy, they will see through the smoke screen.

I was thinking there would be an obvious difference in looks.  Not sure since I was unable to find her ad.  If you posted a link to her ad we should be able to see a difference?!?

Who's link do I have below?

I picked it because I liked it

Here is the link to the other Ms Sweets

....not that I don't know how you feel as I've seen quite a few Mocha's (with surnames typically) popping up.  But yeah when contacting ladies with very similar names (or when reviewing) hopefully they pay attention to those differences.

Chin up. :)

I'm really sorry to hear that.  You have a strong brand with your stage name.  I'm certain regulars like me would not be fooled.  Not a chance.  :-)

However if someone had heard of you and Ben interested in meeting you, the look and feel of your ads, pics, website, etc are consistent and recognizable.  Besides, they would probably look up your reviews and contact info on TER.

Still, it feels crummy.  Yuck. :-

The other "Erika" may have a similar name, but she's never going to have your charisma, sex appeal, and intelligence!

I don't think a serious hobbyist will fall for the counterfeit

Erica, I agree with Ms. Mocha that it could be a coincidence. When I started a year ago I had never heard of TER and I chose the surname Sweet randomly because it sounded friendly. A few months later I came across ericasweets.com and I was surprised at the similarities lol!

It is likely that it's a coincidence since many of the people who post on BP know very little about the hobby.. but then again, copycats are annoying!! ..and if that is the case, I wouldn't reward her with free advertising.

In my opinion, the similarities seem to end with the name. Your website and pictures portray a very classy, trust-worthy provider. The people you prefer to share your time with would never even look in the other direction. No worries:)

Cyber-squatting is the technical term for that practice. It's annoying and costly to resolve through legal channels. I nicely worded request that she chose a more original name is your best course of action. If she does not respond, your good reputation will carry you through.
Keep a watchful eye on your reviews, just in case one of hers gets in there.
