I'm returning to Boston after having not been there in over a decade.  Is the Naked Eye gone?  Are any strip clubs left in Boston proper?

Naked Eye and Centerfold's.  In my opinion, both suck for various reasons.  Like throwing money away.

Naked Eye is a parking lot now. Centerfolds is an upscale waste of time club that opened up across the street from the Glass Slipper on LaGrange a couple of years ago. These are the only two downtown clubs.

Years ago (for those who do not remember Boston, or have never been here), The area of Washington Street in the 600 block range was absolutely full of strip clubs, etc.  It was somewhere in which a woman would never walk at night for fear of being attacked.  Even men would not go there without a group of them together.

Last night, I ate dinner at a very good Vietnamise restaurant that used to a strip club years ago.  The property values have completely changed the environment there.

As to the two "clubs" left:

The Glass Slipper is a true dive in all senses of the word.  It is smoky, the girls are not pretty at all (perhaps there is a rare exception though), and any concept of a table dance or lapdance is completely gone.

Centerfolds is a nicer looking place, but charges a cover charge, and a "private dance" is where the woman is 4 feet away from you.  Most of the girls in there are better looking than The Glass Slipper, but most of them are very plastic looking.

For the money spent at either place for nothing more than a tease, you could see any number of wonderful local independants for a much more fulfulling experience.

Or go to Providence, where things are much hotter.
