Ever since the closing or RSG agencies don't seem to have a hold on the market of providers. Indi girls seem to be far more the norm now. Do most guys prefer agencies or Indi?

In my experience the agency girls tend to be much prettier. Maybe it's just my luck but the top five girls I have seen are all agency girls with Mia from TBD being number one. The rates for agencies are more reasonable and the selection of women is great for the most part.  

Some independent girls charge really highrates for average looks and services. I'll pass on those, but there are many special indies out there. Pamela Vane being one of those imo. But it's not common to see really beautiful independents that have reasonable rates. Most girls seem to start at 400 then jack it up from there after a few decent reviews. I stopped seeing indies for a few years because of this. If it works for them then great, I will pass on those girls.

Before I start, I would like to clarify that these are my personal opinions.

It makes sense for some girls to work independently. You have your own timetable, you set the schedule, you don't have to pay commission to an agency, you cherry pick your clients.

It makes sense for others to work with an agency. You don't have to worry about screening clients. You don't have to pay for advertising (being on our calendar is a very effective way to get Boston clients, and we take care of posting etc). You don't have to spend any time answering emails or phone calls or exploring ways to promote yourself. 70% of an indie girl's communications don't lead to conversion whereas with an agency it's just a matter of checking into a hotel, seeing your clients, and then leaving. You keep your lives separate.

Most importantly, we maintain long relationships with the right kind of clients. If a client pulls anything negative, we take care of it immediately. I hear stories from many indie provider friends about clients canceling at the last minute or flaking or making really disrespectful requests. The same clients are also with us and would never try anything of the sort because if they did they would get banned not by one provider but by an entire agency. Similarly, we go out of our way to reward good clients with discounts, exclusive pics and intel, etc. Sure, if you want to work with an agency, you pay a fair percentage. But providers seem to like the deal. We had 504 applications this year as of yesterday. We hired maybe 30 of them. Many of the girls we did not hire are working for other agencies or independently. In some cases they weren't a good match for us and we gave them advice on how best to set up as indie free of charge, because a healthier hobby ecosystem benefits all of us.  

We have girls who used to work for us and are now indie, or girls who work for us AND do indie stuff in other cities. Bella, Blair Deerheart, Tabitha, Holly Bourne, Riley Morgan, Elise Noel, Candice Carter, Mariana the Muse, the list goes on. Some of these providers still work with us. Some don't. They are all beautiful and provide exceptional service. Some of the indie girls ask us to take care of their advertising and emails--they have more control over who they see but we provide logistical backup.

I will say that, having been a hobbyist for close to two decades before I started to work for Maya, I really do think we at Boston International have the most beautiful girls. I think they provide truly magical experiences. And we work our asses off to make sure they make money in a safe and nurturing environment. This is why girls who are indie in other cities work with us when they are in Boston. And why we always do we'll even during seasonal slumps like now, when indie providers may not be doing so great.

Just because I can and I never have. Seems like it might be less of a pain in the ass imo or maybe not who knows lol

Screen once with an agency ad you can see all their girls.

Screening is easy for me because of P411 so no difference, agency vs indi.  I see more indi only because agencies tend to provide downtown more than suburb.  I have a long "to see" list and will book with girls as they visit my location which is northern MA.

I mostly see ladies via agency for the screening reason. I don't hobby as often now because, like you mentioned, most of the agency ladies are located in the downtown area, which does not work well for me. I usual look for ladies in the North Shore area and can't find an agency that service my area until recently (but not every lady with that agency will come my way).

Also, from my personal experience, agencies are more reliable than indies on setting up/keeping appointments.

I tend to be last minute. Like, hm, nice Saturday afternoon, let's make it even better. Agencies are great for that. But I also like the more personal quality of indie providers. I wish there was a master schedule of indie project providers, where I could 'hey let's see who's free on Wed at 7pm'. I know that I can post here and ask but I only do that on special occasions.

Depending on the size of the agency, you have a built-in Plan B. Sometimes, an agency lady has to cancel. It's happened to me. Read other recent posts: last minute cancel due to family emergency, etc.. The booker can sometimes provide a quick backup, depending on time and location. (Sometimes, the backup is two hours later and across town, but that's better than two weeks later and the same risk of a repeat cancel.)

Another advantage with a GOOD agency is the quick resolution of a problem. I had an experience thru an agency where I was expecting one hour GFE. I got a quick one-and-done and told to leave. The agency owner checked into it and I was given a credit for a future encounter. Another time, the former agency comprised of Companions to an unnamed Greek goddess put me in a lousy situation with a new hire (see my thread about "Worst BJ ever"). It turns out that the owner was getting terrible feedback that later showed up in reviews and I was comped my next session.  

Many indies will make up for NCNS, late cancels or for providing a sub-par performance because they knew were having an off day.  But it could take weeks or months to make it up. With an agency, you can get back to square one more quickly.

Just sayin' ...

It's true. I reach out to every client who writes a bad review for one of our girls to see what went wrong and what we can do to avoid future negative experiences.

Even just to see her name in such a forum and know that at least for now she has retired from this hobby, and maybe like MJ, she could schedule a come back! Maybe just wishful thinking on my part to imagine a duo with Holly Bourne and another indie Penelope!

Oh yes Riley and Blair, and a current BI Chelsea are all gorgeous, smart and genuine.

Just hope my traveling will slow down to allow me to meet more of them!
