I got picked up a couple of weeks ago in a Police Sting.  Should have seen the red flags and walked away, or should have never gone, but of course I was blinded by what seemed "to good to be true".  I've gone balk and forth about writing here, but I believe that some guys, myself included, need to be a little "more educated".  I never meant to hurt anyone.  I would never do that, and I guess because of several positive experiences, I completely lost site of that this could be going on.  

I was unbelievably lucky.  The Boston Police Officers let me go.  I was cuffed, photographed, etc. but I guess I just wasn't what they were looking for.  I consider my self very lucky.  A woman who seemed like the senior officer on the seen said to me that the person they had just grabbed before me was a "bad guy".  Pimp, guns, drugs and he hurt women.  She said that he had girls all over that hotel all against their will.  That last statement hit me hard.

Then I heard a report about sex trafficking in Boston.  Come on, sex trafficking in Boston?  This isn't the wild west, I don't get it....  Now, like most clients, I am just an unhappily married guy looking for some quick fun.  I'm not rich, I don't have a bunch of expendable income, and I suspect that many of you fall into the same category.  I have been with a few girls I've met through agencies.  To try and save a few buck, I've met with some independents I've seen on this site, and I've cold called Backpage girls.  I have had success with this, but it was this last cold calling that got me into trouble.    

Whenever I've done it and not seen a review here, it is usually when I'm looking with very short notice, on my way home, or the next hour just opened up, etc.  I have a small group of BP providers I can go to again, but BE ADVISED, the BPD are out there looking for you, us.  

www.demandabolition.org is working with Boston and Cambridge PD and many other Law Enforcement Agencies out there.  They are all over the country.  The theory is, sex trafficking is all about Supply and Demand.  If you reduce / eliminate the Demand, the there will be no need for the supply.  I believe members on this site, both men and women, are all consenting adults and there is a mutual respect.  That is not what these Law Enforcement Agencies are looking for, but they are placing fake ads and looking for you, so BE SMART.

We can learn lessons from your experience - once again, stick with well reviewed providers etc....

The Demand Abolition folks have their heart in the right place (who wouldn't want to abolish trafficking of human beings?) but - like many crusaders - they are maximalists who lump all situations & people into one category. Heard an interview with one of their folks on NPR and they scare me.

They remind me of fundamentalists of (pick your cult or religion).

First off I happy for you that  they didn't arrest you..That sucks on so many levels, they publish your name,your wife family and friend find out, even if they hire ho's they all judge.Never see a provider blind it is suicide.

The sex trafficking thing with pimps etc is so far beyond my thought process I don't get it.

But good heads up glad your the one that got away.

I have come to the realization that this could happen with any un reviewed provider.. That's an over statement, of course, but why not be careful.

Human trafficking is a cancer that cannot be tolerated. That's why I refuse to see an AMP.. A friend of mine swears by them, but my perception is that many of them are under duress and are being victimized.. The entire thing would probably go away of prostitution became legal.. but I know that won't happen.

Unfortunately the Demand Abolition group is having the opposite result of what they intend.  The world's oldest profession is never going away.  Most of the people involved are sophisticated and highly resourceful.  Information is shared anonymously and the pimps/traffickers simply hide in the shadows.  The more Supply and Demand is attacked/persecuted, the more deeply they will hide and the greater the shadowy areas will become, making it easier for pimps and traffickers to operate and stay hidden.

    I am always surprised with the guys that talk about soliciting sex over the phone , because they are most def gonna get cuffed on arrival if they imply verbally they are seeking to engage in an illegal exchange of money for sex.  
 I am always shocked at the guys rookie behaviors in this manner. I myself use back page and it mainly , you mainly enco0unter it thier.

 I always try and tell them I do not discuss illicit activity on phone or in person.

But i always try n tell them for thier own safety they shouldnt be discussing or asking for illegal solicitiation of sex acts for money over phone, and even reviewed services and or females or johns non cops can turn and become c.i. or confidential informants.

 
    I know a man whom went straight back to prison after trusting a fellow in mate he ran into {turned c.i.} in his travels out i the streets after his bid.

 
            Trust no one and dont be stupid and talk on phone. and never do a hand to hand transaction and ALWAYS USE LADIES that screen .  

I dont feel sorry for you because by you seeing laDIES SANS REVIEWS YOUR POTENTIALLY PUTTING MONEY INTO A PIMPS POCKETS WHO IS DRUGGING RUN AWAYS AND MAKIN THEM WORK, i DONT FEEL SORRY FOR ANY JOHN THAT GETS HIS FACE IN PAPER AFTER HE IS CARELESS AND MEETS WITH AN UN REVIEWED POTENTIALLY UNDER AGE AT THAT AND IN TROUBLE.

   teen girls run away from broken homes and they get on drugs and find places to stay with leeches that pimp them out, how can you not be aware this happens in every city, open your eyes.

Thanks for the support.  I bet we heard the same report on NPR.  That is what prompted me to look at the website.  Personally, I think targeting "demand" is the wrong approach, but if I were a crusader, I see that that could be affective getting the assholes to back off.

- Holiday Inn Express @ South Bay (Exit 16 RT93)
- Provider name Summer (they most likely change them all the time)
- I texted the telephone number.  617 (Boston) area code.  In my experience, providers never use their actual area codes. RED FLAG
- I texted "30 min. BBBJ?"  Providers NEVER discuss services on the phone. RED FLAG
- She got right back to me "come over now".  This is the "too good to be true" part.  RED FLAG

These are all words to the wise. This hobby is one that does involve a very dark side and it's very easy to cross over and hand over your well-earned money to a trafficker or an abusive pimp who exploits girls and women. Staying with well-reviewed, established providers who screen and who are either independent or who run in small (preferably women-run) networks/groups is best. The problems arise when thinking with the little head and acting impulsively. Let's all do our best to reduce the presence of the abusers and traffickers and to support the good folks in the industry.

The only other thing I would say to fellow clients / buyers, take drath92's words as truth.  If you stay the course, it's safer you and the provider.  It occurred to me that these women are professionals.  This is what they do.  They see all sides and despite their best screening efforts, some creeps too, I'm sure.

For me, this is fantasy.  Losing site of the reality is what got me in trouble.

ok; i for one would not trust these folks.   i am a well know hobbyist and i gave them all my info and i mean all of it.   she then tells me i am lying and she will not approve me.   so in short they have all my info and who knows if they destroy it or not.  just my story not bashing them just advising others that you may give it all out but that does not mean you will be approved.   going under my alias here for obvious reasons
