There are some Pro Doms there that I have cross referenced over here.

...as do many other folks who cater to fetish clients, such as webcam performers, Pro-Dommes, etc.

It's mostly a lifestyle board, but I do get the occasional client from Fetlife who wants to explore a particular fetish.

Rather that posting ads, I dedicated a section of my profile to the professional work that I do.

While there are plenty of sex workers who have profiles on the site.  There are discussion forums there for escorting.  But, it's not an ad kind of site.  I think most people who go there are not looking for pay for play.

I do go to party's that post events there, and those events have a cost for entry, but other than that, I haven't seen any sort of advertising like you seem to be referring to.

Then again, I am not a heavy user of the site, so it's possible it has a lot more to offer than I have noticed.

specifically for Pro Dommes, with lots of good information shared...an advertising group as well, divided by state.

It's the video models who cater most to fetishes. The rest are very particular about what they are into

I've met a few people there & am also in a few groups.  I advertise BDSM services as well as my phone sex/webcam biz there.

He was not a newbie to the hobby, so it worked out.

All the other inqueries I received from potential clients there were not able to provide me with references, so I couldn't see them.

I joined all the sex worker groups there and received plenty of messages. Ugh, a few pimps messaged me trying to get me to work for them. I had to cut them down to size.

I get the occasional message from Dominants trying to boss me around, demanding pictures and crap because I am a submissive.

I got tired of random dudes messaging me, so I had put disclaimers on my profile. Really I'm just there to read stuff and socialize with other sex workers. Not really looking for clients.

You can friend me on there if you like. You can look at all the sex worker groups on my page and join those. My handle is StinaValentine. :)

I need only stay out of the sex worker sections? Good to know. Seems to me Fetlife is meant for legal activities

There's a couple groups where ladies can advertise. But, I think there's restrictions and I'm not sure what they are. I hadn't advertised there. There's also sex worker groups for folks to just socialize or ask questions.

and find the community there very open and relationship-oriented.  I'm not sure that it would be a great fit for the P4P community.  There are some professional Dommes on there, but little if any advertising.  I think advertising P4P would be frowned on.
Much of the focus on Fet is the relationships of Doms/subs, Master/slaves, etc. with the emphasis on BDSM as an adjunct to the emotional content of the relationship.  P4P doesn't fit that really well.

For the satisfaction of the occasional kink that you can't get out otherwise, providers may have a slight opportunity.  But there are a lot of talented amateurs in the Fet community.

I actually have attempted to see three ladies with profiles on Fetlife. I say attempted because I failed to work out details and scheduling with them. In two of those cases I saw an ad on Backpage first then looked to see if they had a profile on Fetlife.
It is correct what others have said. It is not meant to be a place for P4P, and I think the way they have their search feature crippled just reinforces that. Good luck if you want to find people of a particular gender who are into a such and such a fetish in your state. But that is the way the want it.

It is primarily for my photography business but I have met a lot of really great people through the site including gals who've wanted images as well as play dates.  Many pro-dommes are on Fet and they regularly get clients through the site.

If you want to hook up there message me and I'll give you my Fet port name.

Editing to add... Fetlife is like any social media site. You get out of it what you put into it. If you have a profile with two pics and all you do is troll you're not going to have a good experience, but if you share yourself and your journey you will find clients and friends and I think that's the reason it is so popular.
