It sounds like your submissiveness is more associated with a normal or vanilla sexual situation.  When considering submissiveness on a bdsm board it would be much more then that.  You should expect some level of impact play, bondage, perhaps some nipple torture and some humiliation/degradation.

I disagree. There is a very large spectrum of being a submissive. Many think they have to endure pain or torture to be a true sub. I'm not a pain sub..have been before not my thing. Tried it.  Sensual BDSM allows for more primal and hands-on approach for power exchange. I would say most vanillas assume that being a sub means pain and being tied up. A good Dom or Domme knows how to dominate through words, glances and mental stimulation, not just physical force.
