Hey Guys,
I understand that there are alot of fake reviews going around and one just popped up on my profile. I'm not complaining about scores hell I'm not even complaining about it being positive, but there are things in there that I do not allow. I do not ever go out of the room to "change" and I do not allow COB, so just letting ya'll know, fake reviews abound.

Yep- a girl I know w/o reviews finally gets one. I PM'd the reviewer for "further details (e.g. "was she the girl in the pictures?"- real innocent stuff). Of course, he never replied. Bottom line was her pics were "stolen" from a photographer and placed on a site (the story behind that is tooo long to get into).

She has been a friend (& business companion...well. that's the real reason for our friendship LOL) for almost two years. She was upset, but I told her that guys will do that to extend their VIP 'cause they are too cheap to sign up and pay for membership.

Me, I am paying the monthly fee (which has increased).

The third review down on my first page is a fake.  I saw it pop up, didn't recognize the handle (which doesn't mean much - I don't identify everyone that I meet by their TER handle) and began reading.  The first glaring discrepancy was that the gentleman stated he met me at a gated apartment complex in August.  My incall lease was up at the end of last winter.  So I thought PERHAPS it could just be a late review.  However, reading through prior reviews to get information to write a fake one might lead one to believe that I still work out of an apartment, as most of my reviews are from when I did.  Then it also said my pet peeve was rudeness, so that made me think maybe it WAS true, but anybody reading my regular board posts could probably use their super sluething skills and determine this for themselves.  So, out of curiousity, I PM'd the handle and told him that I was a bit confused and couldn't quite recall the session, pointed out the details and asked when we got together.  No response.

Either way, the review is an 8-8, and doesn't really include any details that could cause any problems, other than someone calling and be surprised when I tell them they won't be heading to an apartment complex.  At the time, I didn't even consider the fact that they may be doing it to get free VIP.  I was thinking perhaps to give a provider their handle and hope that their only means of screening is checking out reviews.  Probably the former is a bit more likely. :)

I had met Kaitlyn in a social event recently.  Spent about three hours having lunch and shooting the shit with her and others.  She was a lot of fun to hang out with but I've never seen her except during this event.  Then, I notice the next day that a review popped up for her that wasn't very flattering.  I was shocked because it just didn't jive with what I would have expected.  I challenged the reviewer but he insists everything he said was true... Go figure ....  I also noticed last week quite a number of very old reviews popping up for other girls, and of course a number of girls lately been mentioning fake reviews showing up.  Never a dull moment... LOL

Not trying to beat a dead horse here, but I also believe that it's just to get access to the VIP section of TER.  There are paying members, like myself, that don't have the opportunity to 'Hobby' as much, among other reasons.  There are that GREAT group of Hobbyist that will never have to pay because they have the means to 'Hobby' often, but also provide a wealth of information for Hobbyist like myself (Thanks!!).  And then there are the 'leaches' that write fake reviews (usually in par with the providers current reviews to draw less suspicion).

You just have to be diligent when researching a possible date.  Trust & Verify.  Trust what the young Ladies (and you're all young to me, whether in age or Heart ;-) ) have to say about them self and what they will provide.  And Verify by a Hobbyist that shows a consistency in their past reviews of other providers with "what they like" about a provider and/or the date. One of the main reasons I'm posting reviews now.  So as to build up a 'profile of my likes & dislikes' that might help both my fellow Hobbyist and Providers alike.

Just my .02$ worth  (Mods' - will that get me an extra day FREE!!   ;)  ;)

Hi Alyssa!

This used to happen  to Keri Atlanta's Little FireBall.  It is always so weird because the details are off.  Tell me about it...

Have a great week!

I agree and it's very frustrating.  I have a review that describes multiple things that I do not do and even claims that I have a skin problem or bad complexion! GTFOH!  When I look at the reviewer's profile I don't know who he is and I don't think that I've ever seen him (most of my dates are Caucasian--say 95%; he's AA).  I would like for the guys to read reviews with the mind of a skeptic--embellishment happens in the good ones and the bad ones.  Better still, go by how the lady treats you over the phone or via email when attempting to book your 1st date with her.  I think reviews are good for spotting danger or fakes but not good for ascertaining how well your date will go with a lady.  I say this because I have been in the hobbyist position of choosing a lady for a boyfriend and partaking in enjoying her myself (deeee-lightful).  I read reviews but I also spent alot of time gauging how he or I was treated via phone or email.  Those that were rude, short or bitchy didn't get our time.

Hmmm, thinking that I might want a tryst with a lady soon for shits, giggles and entertainment.  Better still if it were a 3 way.

Menage a trois seeker,

I agree with the fake reviews written for VIP access theory.

I am fairly new to the hobby and it was frustrating to write two real reviews only to find that one of the providers has de-listed on TER.  At that point I felt like, "Screw this, I will pay for access."

In my opinion it would be better just to make the initial VIP access a paying proposition.  Then if a subscriber is writing reviews throw them a discount or free access.

Even if the review is seemingly positive, I understand how troubling a fake review would be to a provider.

I have found that I am reluctant to write a negative review if I just didn't hit it off with a provider.  To write a bad review I think I would have to feel like I was intentionally cheated or ripped-off.

When they first hid the numbers from non-VIP folks I went on tour and with 3 of 4 of my most recent reviews were fakes.  They were eventually pulled - after a month plus.  But those reviewers already used their VIP time and were allowed to maintain the rest of their review history and their handles.  I was felt sorry for the many inquirers who were so happy that I "had finally started providing greek" when I have NEVER provided greek. Over the years I have had 9/9's and other steller reviews removed as they were fake and I am pretty good at disproving their claims if the powers at be at TER actually look into it.  It's frustrating to be used in this way and I really wish the VIP time wasn't a reward for being a liar.  There's over 750,000 reviews on the site, it's not like they NEED the fake input.  If anything it degrades the system.

I'm not arguing your point that it's fake. I just thought I'd answer your question about remembering after so long a time. He could write the review in Word and save it, then submit it later by copy/paste. Then he wouldn't have to remember.
I do write as a Word document and submit later, but not 3 months later. Usually just a few days.

Though others have said differently, my experience has been that they do. (handle it properly)
I hope so in this case.
