Why Different Stage Names?

Why is it that some ladies will change their stage names often. I can understand why the rip offs and bad providers do it so as to keep fooling guys and keeping the cash flow going. But I recently ran into a lady who I saw a while back, and had a great rep, but was now working under a different name. I thought it may have been rude to ask the question so I didn't but she did remember me from the past. Just curious.

1) changed primary ad venue
Provider wants to know what calls are coming from old ads and which are coming from new ads.  Guys apparently don't respond well to the question "where did you learn about me?", so girls use the different names to keep track.

2) change from one agency to another, or from agency to indie
Since an agency may continue to use the old name and pictures (as B&S bait) when a girl switches, she will usually take on a new name with the new agency.

3) change in service level
When a lady changes from FS to B2B, or vice versa, she will often change names so the new service level will be associated with the new name

4) change of pace
Whatever is "new" tends to be more popular.  When I lived in Chattanooga, I knew a guy who owned two "club" buildings.  He used to alternate between the two, opening a "new" club every 6 months, which was usually nothing more than a new name, new signs, and maybe some new decorations.  Everyone always wanted to go to the "new" place in town, though, so he made a killing.
