I learned to really appreciate those I love.  Never know when their last day will be.
I've also learned new techniques for sucking cock! Yeah, an old ho can learn new tricks lol
I've learned how to make one of my GFs squirt really good too.
I've definitely learned not to trust a lot of people around here. Gosh damn, if I had a dollar for every thing someone has HEARD about me, I'd be filthy rich lol
I've also learned that bballs is such a sweetheart!  :)

The most important things I (fully) learned was that ownership of another is impossible, personal freedom is priceless and that often we are so busy fretting over whether or not someone is or is not living up to our subconscious expectations that we fail to enjoy the limited time we share with those we are in relationships with (family, friends, partners, etc.).

Not that these weren't things I didn't already know, but with each passing year we should gain a deeper understanding of things that are important to us and those that were the catalysts for our initial inner growth spurts. I have learned the beauty and peace that comes with allowing people to blossom fully into that which they are to be and if their growth should take them away from me then so be it--I will always champion them. I have learned the importance of non-attachment and not investing oneself so fully in another that when that relationship (again family, friends, partners, etc.) ends there is only joy and not fear of loss or a sense of abandonment.

I also learned...

1) How to tie bondage knots the right way so that they tighten as a sub struggles.
2) Positioning a sub in the right position is crucial for goddess and pussy worship.
3) Having a girlfriend that is also a provider makes for some interesting bedroom dirty talk.
4) The best way to use an anal plug.
5) Selling my panties online is so worth it!

Why so serious?,

Losing an elderly parent with a chronic illness is tough, but nothing compared to the sudden death of a sibling.
Car accidents are much better when you're not at fault. Less paperwork.
Donating platelets too often can make you blood iron deficient. You actually Can give too much of yourself.
Not only did I master my first perfect 3 pass straight razor shave, but I'm getting more regular at perfect shaves. Practice can make perfect as much as it can make permanent.
Regardless of the medical advancements, hospitals still feel eerily creepy.

Lastly, electr0n is my TER brother as much, if not more so than, my Eskimo brother.

2016 might be a great year.

It is a good time of year for such reflection, but anytime of tthe year, month, week, day, etc. is good to think about whether you're learning and becoming better, happier or just generally moving in the right direction of improving yourself.

As I have had many more appointments and sessions this year, only my second year of active client hood, I have learned a few things, such as:

1.  The value of staying hydrated - caffeine can be a killer for sexual performance, at least for me.  Water can be an amazing remedy, not only for stamina,  but overall health in general.

2.  Better budgeting methods to free up funding for play time.

3.  Improved awareness of the things I enjoy more in an appointment, as well as how to pay attention better to the lady I am with, to heighten the enjoyment of both of us...which serves my own pleasure as well.

Learning is growing....oh, and this year I've grown my hair back out to and beyond my college days length.  One last attempt at it before I submit to any upcoming male pattern baldness.

I look forward to another year of continuing education.

Happy New Year, everyone!!

*be excellent to each other*

Things I learned (or reaquainted myself with) this year...

1)  Apparently you can teach an old dog new tricks.  When he's motivated enough.  And helped along by a beautiful, talented, patient trainer or two.  LOL.  As much as I think I know (not much) I am continually amazed by the creativity, compassion, and adventuresome nature of our Atlanta ladies.  Just when I am confident I am in my mentor, teacher, and instructor role I get my butt handed to me by ingenious ladies that run circles around me.  Impressive.  And embarassing.  For me that is.  ;-)

2)  Having a provider or two that knows me well and looks forward to seeing me is a true blessing.  It gives me something to look forward to, plan for, daydream about, and afterwards - relieves all my stress and puts me back on track to deal with the rigors of the "real" world.  Having an amazing "friend with benefits" on call is worth more than gold.

3)  Having patience, compassion, understanding, and a positive attitude pays off - in the hobby world, and in the real one.  Trying to be the example you wish to see in the world is a noble thing.  It seems to pay off - if not in worldly treasures, then at least in karma.  I was humbled several times this year by acts of generosity and kindness.  Both in the hobby world and in the real one.  I believe you get back what you give.  So be kind, positive, and helpful.  Often you will be repaid with interest.

4)  Living in Atlanta is a blessing unto itself.  The ladies here are the best on the planet.  The ones I know well have enriched me and have given me a better quality of life.  And that is not an exaggeration.  And the Atlanta hobbyists get my "Upscale Gentleman" seal of approval.  I have made a number of cool friends behind the scenes - gents that I enjoy exchanging pm's and advice with.  It's comforting to know such cool folks exist.

5)  There is evil in the world.  It is real.  It is something that can't be reasoned with, negotiated for, or hugged out.  We have to be strong to deal with it.  It's unfortunate that in this era of political correctness we lose that truth.  But in my experience most folks are good, rational, kind-hearted, freedom loving individuals.  And when we work together to root out and extinguish that evil, we are a powerful force for good.  Doing the right thing has never been easy.  And so it still goes.

6)  We hobbyists have it better than anyone.  We get to spend time with lovely ladies, have our wildest fantasies fulfilled, and have the means to do so.  Although not as often as we wish.  :-)  It is a great blessing to be able to experience such decadence and pleasure.  Truly.  We are the Illuminati.  Or at least the Hobbinati - the horny, enlightened ones.  We have learned the answer to the secret of the eternal quest to inner peace.  And - it lies in the oldest profession.  It seems fitting does it not?  So, fellow members of the Hobbinati - when you cast your eyes on your unenlightened brethren, give them a knowing smile and feel compassion.  They know not what they are missing.

@Koshie - I am honored to be your brother, Eskimo or otherwise.  I always enjoy your witty, intelligent, and thoughtful posts.  If anyone can relate to my "unusual" brand of humor it seems to be you.  Cheers.

@Stockings - Thank you for the kind words.  If my off the wall posts, goofiness, or actual sincerity (I do have some you know) helps you or anyone then it is time well spent.  We have a great community here in Atlanta and you seem to exemplify it very well.  And I appreciate that greatly.  Cheers to you also.

And cheers to all the good TER folk.  Have a wonderful new year!  2016 is going to kick some serious ass from what I am told.  :-

Here are a few things I learned this year.  In no particular order.

First, regarding my preferred body type:  Until this year, I typically went only for the younger "fit" and pretty model type.  One of my current favorites does not fit that mold.  She is very pretty, but I wouldn't say "fit".  More "Rubenesque".  Nevertheless, I am now very attracted to her and not just because she is pretty.  For some reason, I have become attracted to her body too.  I love the feel of her in my hands when we are together.  Not all skin and bones.  It may be just her.  But I'll be curious to see if this transitions over the future to my general preference for women.  I've remained fit and do plenty of cardiovascular workouts each week, so I don't think it is because I have gotten older and soft myself.

Second, the lasting effects of physical intimacy:  There is something about touching and being touched that alters my mood, not just in the moment, but sometimes into the next day too.  A really good session that involves lots of foreplay with kissing, stroking, massaging and exploring one another with touch, leaves me in an elevated mood.  I think I commented on this in a post earlier in the year.  On more than one occasion, people at work have said to me that I seemed to be in a really good mood and rare form.  This was always the day after a great session with one of my favs that involved prolonged intimacy.  Interestingly, on those days where a session was not on the horizon and I felt the need to relieve myself, I found that doing so could leave me moody and short-tempered.  I did a little research on the internet (so take this with a grain of salt).  Several webpages address the hormones that are released during physical intimacy and touching and their lasting effects--mostly oxytocin.  This might be BS, but it makes sense.  My guess is that there is little oxytocin or similar hormones released when somebody masturbates to orgasm.  This may explain my behavior and mood on different days.

Third, there are different kinds of sex--all of them good, but some of them better.  Some of your partners are hot, some are skilled, and if you are lucky, some are both!  It can be fun in either instance, but even better when skill meets hotness.  Then the next ingredient you hope for is "chemistry".  What good is fuel and oxygen if you don't have a flame to light the fire?  But a little spark can get the fire going and the more fuel and oxygen you have the bigger the fire!  Until this year I've had plenty of sessions with skilled women and pretty women.  And thanks to TER, most of the partners I've had possessed both skills and appearances.  But this year I've hit the triple jack-pot of looks, skills and chemistry on more than one occasion.  Wow.  Not sure if it was due to luck, or maybe I've just spent enough time here to figure it out and give myself the opportunity.  TER simply can't tell you whether the two of you will enjoy each other's company.

A new approach:  Just when I thought I was getting bored with this hobby, unexpected events surprised me and I'm back in with vigor.  I'd suggest to any guy who is getting into a rut with the hobby despite the smorgasbord of providers available here in ATL, that you consider narrowing your focus.  You don't need to see and test drive every new model on the lot.  Consider spending more time with just a few providers that you hit it off with particularly well.  I did that this year, and I'm much happier than I was a year ago.

That's what comes to mind right now.  I'm hoping 2016 has more things to teach me.

Hmmmmmmmmm.......
I would say Rebekka, Emily, Taylor, Chrystal, and several other random names

I am looking for many therapeutic options for 2016 to consider.   Any recommendations or self promoting doctors of growth out there I should consider?
