Speaking of UGA, does anyone remember Effie's? It was my first hobby experience. EOM

The place was closed a couple years before I got to UGA but many a local got their first there.
All who told me of the place made it sound like heaven in the Classic city. Lol

That was a long, long time ago.  Everything is gone now, even the street, Elem St., is no longer there.  I never got the pleasure of seeing any of the ladies there, darn it.

My Dad always had this brick in the work shed and about ten years ago I finally asked my Dad what was so special about the brick. Well, he told me all about Effie's and when they tore it down he and a few of his buddies got a brick from the site. Wow! My Dad,the stud. I had no idea.
