typical of agencies?

I have never used an agency until today.  And I have a two part question:
1) Is this typical for agencies.
2) Do you take into account the agencies performance when reviewing the ladies performance.

I made an appointment a week in advance via email with very detailed info concerning date, time, lenght of appt.  I emailed last night confirming my appt for today and once again the details of said appt.  I requested either directions or an address along with a phone number.  Never got the info so, just assumed for security they didn't want to give it that soon.  I called when I arrived in ATL today 2hrs before my appt and left a message.  No response.  Called again 1hr before my appt and left a message.  No response.  Finally, I get a call 10 min before my appt and having no idea where this place is I'm 25 min away.  So, I finally get the info and head over.  Obviously, I'm late and frustrated from fighting traffic I shouldn't have been in in the first place.  It was a doubles session and it was pretty good.  But, 50 min in one of the ladies asks if I want her to start running the shower.  I said, "you mean 90 min is already up"  She said your down for 60 min.  I said I had two email confirms for a 90 min appt.  One of the ladies said well, anyway she had somewhere she had to be.  The other lady said that they needed the room.  The both apologized.  I retrieved the balance of my donation for the "lost" 30 min and left.  I later got an email from the agency saying it was their fault and would work out some kind of discount on a future visit.

I have never had this kind of problem with an indi.  Is this kind of thing the norm for agencies?  And should the ladies reviews suffer because of this?   Thanks for your input.

It is my experience that some agency operators do this.  they often tell the providers of the appointment the last minute, even though you plan a week in advance.  this often results in mis-communication and bugs the hell out of me every single time.  then, they will offer a $25 discount for the next time as if that really makes up for it.  My opinion is that if the agency messes up, the agency should discount you their cut.  in atlanta, that is often $100, not $25.  If they want to keep your business, this is not unreasonable to ask for.  especially when you book a week in advance...which is what I like to do as well.

the reason given from the agency is almost always "the girls fault"  however, I will quizz the providers when they arrive, and they often tell me that they didn't get notice of the appointment until an hour before it!  again, an appointment made a week in advance.

so to answer your question

1. not all agencies do this, but I would imagine almost all of them do
2. you should not punish the ladies performance when you write their reviews.  meaning an 8/8 experience should still be 8/8.  however, that does not mean you can't elaborate the BS pulled by the agency, just make sure that the gents reading the review understand that the provider is fine, but expect crappy service from the agency.

I don't know if it is typical of agencies but it is not typical of the agency I deal with. I have never had a problem with them.
You say it has never happened to you with an indi but I have heard stories and even read here that stuff happens with them too.
Seems that S*** happens everywhere at some time or other.

If you are seeing a Lady with an agency, you are seeing both of them.  The whole experience is what should be in the review.  If the agency is at fault, the Lady needs to know this as well and also be accountable.  If the agency is legitimate, you should get a huge consideration for what they did to you.  I am sure that is was agravating and took a lot of your time.

One thing I can say is.. sometimes with an appointment booked a week in advance.. So much stuff can and does happen.. I usually just pencil it in until I hear from you again the day before for reconfirmation. Then to me the appointment is written in stone. Once we reconfirm I then tell the lady to be there at the appointed time. BUT that appointment is as I said written in stone after a reconfirmation. If you did all of that and this still happened then... I would cross that agency off the list. I have heard of this sort of thing repeatedly happening with the same agency. This does Not happen with All of us! I could not have been here 15 years successfully pulling that kind of crap. Gives us all a bad name.. If it is the agency that I assume it is.. Then that could have been avoided with a search on the discussion board using the agency name and the default 9999 where the date goes.  As its been written about previously a few times and off course apologies were made. $25 bucks is def not enough to make up for that "next time" Thats how they try and rope you in for a "next time". When I have a screw up as we ALL do occassionaly.. I take the house portion off next time completely.

I also would not have had You Leave.. I would have delayed/canceled the other if possible as you were already nekkid and havin fun in the midst of your 90.. Im sorry that your first foray into agencys that you stumbeled upon an agency that doesnt learn from their mistakes. You did PM me :) to see someone. I wish your first foray would have been with us... Instead of with someone that left a bad taste in your mouth. I hope all the agencys have not lost you because of that one bad experience.

Hi guys!  I am a independent provider now but I have worked for two agencies before in the past.  One was excellent and the other  . . .  let’s just say less than excellent.  It is my experience that most agencies really try to do their best to provide the best service they can to their clients over-all, even the bad ones.  I know that they watch the reviews you post about us providers like a hawk and will let any girl go if they start getting a few bad reviews in a row.

On a busy day an agency provider will likely see between 4 to 6 clients a day and occasionally more if they are just slammed.  If the agency has ten girls working for it that is about 40 to 60 calls a day.  They are constantly juggling the girls work shifts because they are not all the same depending on the girls availability.  Keep in mind an agency has the same people problems that occur daily in every business.  Employees get sick, don’t show up for work, and run behind because of traffic or they get lost driving from one appointment to another.

At the same time the appointment scheduler’s who you talk with on the phone have different shifts also and they are changing during different times of the day which, even in the best agency’s sometimes results in occasional failures to pass bits of information from one person to another.  That is why the professionalism of these persons is very important to an agency.  They are responsible for dealing with all of the above situations.  Most importantly to the companies working girls, are also responsible for insuring that the girls remain safe at all times which calling them if they are not called to insure the girl was able to leave their last client safely!  Clients often don’t make note of them in their reviews unless a problem has occurred such as in your case.

If you look at the incomplete inside picture I describe above hopefully you realize that everyone working for a given agency, especially the appointment setters you talk to or email are juggling a lot of balls in the air at the same time.  Sometimes a ball gets dropped as it did in your case, most of the time they don’t.

I would make a note of the problem in the “general details” section of the girls review.  I would not let the problem affect the scores in the numerical section of the review or the juicy details unless you believe that the provider was part of the problem that occurred.  Those problems should reflect the providers’ actual service.

Clients that choose to go to an agency should always look at reviews from several girls working for an agency to get a general picture of the agency and the girls working for it.  It an agency consistently has a problem most times you will see a pattern.  But an occasional mishap here and there occurs in the best of agencies and independent providers.  Since the provider refunded the unearned portion the fee and the agency offered you a discount to make up for the mistake it sounds like they made an average effort to make up for the error.

The best of agencies would have refunded all of your money and paid their provider out of their pocket if it was not the provider’s mistake.  That is what I offered the one time this happen with one of my clients.  He was so happy with my service over-all and understanding of the circumstances that he insisted on paying me.  I have very fond memories of him.

I hope that this insider’s picture is helpful to everyone.  There are advantages and disadvantages in choosing an agency vs. an independent provider.  One of the advantages of going with an independent provider is that her reviews reflect the whole of her service and is very plain to see.  Because agencies have so many girls occasionally problems do occur that are outside of the appointment setters control.  To be fair, one of the obvious advantages of going to an agency is that you do overtime develop a relationship that gives you access to lots of girls with very little notice.

I want to thank my assistant who also worked at a couple different agencies in an supporting role for the “appointment setters” input and for correcting my writing.  By the way, I am looking forward to some new reviews myself.  Check out my website if you are interested in learning more about me.

The performance is definitely affected by the agency and should be graded accordingly.

I will say that the experience you've had is not typical of good agencies.  But all agencies exprience problems.  I've had appointements with late starts, cancelled while I was on the way, etc.  But these are usually exceptions to the rule.  But I always note it so that we can see if there is a pattern, if it exists.

Other than the fact that it was doubles session, and, that may have been easier to arrange with an agency rather than an indy-the following quote from your post should say enough.
"I have never had this kind of problem with an indi.  Is this kind of thing the norm for agencies?  And should the ladies reviews suffer because of this? "

You did have sufficient time to set something up with providers who do doubles.

With that said, what does the experience with the girls have to do with the agencies lack of professionalism in timing and arrangement?

The agency itself does have the ability to be reviewed.
If you enjoyed yourself and got what you asked for then no, the girls' shouldn't suffer.
Eventually, they will wise up and go indy and their reviews shouldn't suffer for the time spent with such an unprofessional agency.

There is not an agency in this city doing even 25 calls every day hon.. Maybe a few years ago 20/25 and thats slam busy.. We may have 10 girls but they dont each get 4-6 calls a day, they all dont work the same schedule. My comfort zone as I always try n remain select and small is half that and thats not Every Day either. Smalll and safe thats my ticket but thats my personal way of doing things. The busiest agencys in this city that would if they could dont do  25 a day. The economy and the glut on this market has made the pieces of pie smaller.

I have had mostly good experiences with agencies...but then I did my homework to choose ones with solid reviews. I have had minor problems from time to time, i.e. a lady running late, but then so have I. The one bad experience I have had with an agency was dealt with and I was satisfied with the result.

I'm not sure who you hooked up , but I've had excellent experiences with Essential Referrals, Hush, JFL, & Mariposa.

I hope things will work out for you. I know there are plenty of great agencies in Atlanta.

There was a discussion several weeks ago when one agency posted that she was upset that her lady score got hammered because of an error in arrangement made by her, the agency handler.

She freely admitted to her error.  She offered to make amends to the OP.  And she was making points the lady should not be hammered for her error.  I thought the review was fair, it described the event accurately, and really the score looked like it only suffered a point off the average for the lady.

This board hammered her.  In a lot of ways, I felt were appropriate.  You cannot separate the agency from the lady when evaluating the entire experience.

Had an Indi screwed up the handling and kept me waiting for 45 minutes in a parking lot, or showed up late, or dumped out early, or played the ala carte game, it would have impacted her score, in some cases severely.

You are scoring the overall experience.  End of discussion in my mind.

I have consistently used an agency in the area.  There have been some royal f-ups in scheduling.  Lates, Lost, and No Shows.  Some were clearly the handlers error, other times it was clearly the lady at fault.  Honestly, it really did not matter to me, I had a bad experience.  The handler took the follow up calls, and made right that call or the next. The adjustment in rate was always more than fair.

BUT here was the difference, I called her immediately and told her of the issue and my complaint.  If all you do is post it in a review or complain on the board, well nothing will get fixed and you will get no adjustment.  You have to be adult in your conversation with the handler, just like I think if you had a bad experience with a top flight indi, and have an adult conversation with them about your disappointment, you can come to reasonable accomodations then and there or make appropriate future arrangements.

So if you pick an agency or an indy, pick one that cares about their brand and their market reputation.  The high end groups, understand that things go wrong and will fix it.  Likewise, you need to be a top flight hobbiest.  If you schedule a lady and she is not what you wanted, be fair in the rating and/or at least pay her for her travel time.  If you are going to be late, and she takes your appt anyway, it is fair to give her $25/50 extra.  At the end of the day, be reasonable.  This is a people business and people ain't perfect.

You get to decide on your tolerance for errors over time, just like the ladies get to decide if they want to ever see a hobbiest again.  Vote with your wallet/time, that is the ultimate way to control this situation.

I would have dropped the whole thing after no answer for 60 minutes. Think about it this way; this is supposed to be fun, what fun is it jump through hoops.

Just like my principle of not standing in restaurant for more than 15 minutes for a seat when I have reservation, I would not wait longer than 15.

I don't shop on Black Friday either.

Providers always talk about boundaries, why don't hobbits do the same?

Shit, if I enjoy jumping through hoops, I would get a Girl Friend!

I purposely withheld the name of this agency because I'm a firm believer in giving a business a chance to make things right with their customer.  And I wasn't looking to just trash this agency but, get some honest input.  Besides, once I post the review it's going to be obvious what the agency is anyway.

In the interest of fairness I did want to acknowledge their response since my post.  They again apologized and offered the following:  $50 off my next visit and an extra 30 min complimentary.  I guess this is satisfactory?

I appreciate the input that I received on this.  Thanks to all.

"Eventually, they will wise up and go indy and their reviews shouldn't suffer for the time spent with such an unprofessional agency."

Theres no reason to be so rude as to say a gal will "wise up" and go Indy.. Indy works for you and thats great. Indy doesnt work for everyone. Some gals like to have a life outside of this life. They want to show up, be booked and go home... Done, finished.. They dont have to answer phones, return emails, take care of advertising and secure an incall. They come and they go as they please and it works for them. We are not all alike. There are some that would say some Indys should wise up and go to an agency because they cant juggle all the balls of this life, with real life, family, school or whatever they have to do in the real world. We read about missed appointments, lateness or not having emails returned in a timely manner from Indy's all the time, Its a lot to juggle. Then when you add in the costs of an eros ad and the incall etcl.. Youre not making that much more. Then of course time is money.. Which they dont have to waste by "running the show" they get to spend quality time with their peeps instead. Its a preference. Not wise or unwise... Just what works better in their lives.

" You cannot separate the agency from the lady when evaluating the entire experience. "

Sure ya can.. To me.. you write in the atmosphere part and then.. In the General details, say what happened with the agency.. then in the juicys say how things went with the lady :) They are different because a profile follows the girl.. so that bad mark given because of the agency, follows her. Thats not fair to her. So, my opinion is seperate them in the reviews but give the lady what she deserves. You can also go to

http://www.theeroticreview.com/site_reviews/siteListings.asp?category_id=27&city_id=6

and write a review of the agency. This is an underused forum on the site I think... This is where all praise or complaints about the agency should go.

PT,

Thanks for the link on agency reviews, all these years and never found that one before.

I disagree on ignoring the impact an agency has on the experience.  Indies cannot separate thier business management from thier sessions, and neither should agency ladies.

Long term, strong relationships with an agency, will allow a hobbiest to have perhaps more tolerance with individual ladies foibles, just like long term relationships with indies enable tolerance for periodic bad days.

But you can never separate the way booking, security, management and environment from an evaluation of a performance.  Sorry

I went back and looked at that prior post several week ago.  The agency owner was trying to make the case that her lady poor score should have been downgraded.  Many people hammered back on this lady.  Several of her competitors actually got rather rude with the lady, several went overboard to offensive.  But their points were generally correct.

The experience is what you rate.

So with respect I disagree but love your opinions and dialogs.

BUT... I didnt say Ignore.. No... I said write your bad agency experience where it belongs and that it shouldnt follow the lady since it wasnt her fault :) it was the agency :) let it follow them.. Not her :)

But.. Yes it is what makes it fun respectful agreement or disagreement :)
