I contemplated this as I was recently enjoying some time with an amazing lady I know.  I swear sometimes she can read my mind.  And she doesn't even go screaming out of the room when she does.    She remembers everything I've told her (and shown her) and she pushes my buttons in a most exciting way each time I see her.  She receives pleasure in giving pleasure as much as I do.

So - what things makes a favorite a favorite?  Is it technical skill, personality, sense of humor, that thing they do with their tongue, or just the way they fill out a tank top?

At the top of my list is attitude.  Which shouldn't come as a surprise as I talk about it all the time.  When I'm with a girl it seems their attitude falls into one of three categories:

1. "Yes Daddy we can do that.  Sounds like fun!  In fact, why aren't we doing it right now?"
2. "Not sure if I'd be into that but I'll give it a try for you."
3. "What the fuck are you talking about old man?!"

Obviously number 1 will put someone at the top of my "see again real soon" list.

So what do you folks think?  And this is for guys and girls both to respond.

Guys - think of that special girl...  what do you love about her?  What thing does she do better than anyone else?

Girls - think of your special guy...  you know the one.  What makes you look forward to seeing him above all the others?

Number One is definitely attitude.  It is at its best when it is a combination of willing experimentation, active participation, mutual discovery, openness about what works and what doesn't, and a true sense of partnership in making it really work for both of us.  There are ladies who are wonderful to spend an hour having great sex with, but who never seem to get out of what a friend and I like to call "provider mode."  That's not a negative at all, but it doesn't make for the "every time is different" sense that makes for an ATF.

Secondly, and it is probably a direct corollary to Number One, is the sense of personal connection.  I'm not a romantic in any way, and don't intend to mean that.  However, the few who have made it to ATF with me have been those that I enjoy spending time with outside the bedroom as much (well almost) as within it.  Part personality, part chemistry, just feeling really comfortable with each other.

Of course, it goes without saying that anyone meeting those two to become ATF has already passed the criteria for gorgeous, great body, sexual dynamo, etc.

For me, looks are important, but not critical.  It's about attitude and trust.  I love it when they catch a hint I put out and run with it.  Love it even more if they come to me with ideas.  Sexiest thing I have heard came from a retired ATF, "I love being with you, because you are willing to try...I can explore with you"  And she did and oh...the things we tried.  She would occassionally call me and say "Come over now, whatever you have in your pocket is fine I (and a few times WE) are bored and want to play and want to try (>>> Several things that were a first for me).  So basically I was called in to be their playtoy.  A role I took on with gusto.

So it is attitude, but more than that it is about being intuitive and taking the lead without being pushy. It's a tough line to walk...but when a woman can do it I am one VERY Happy guy.

My favorite has legs for days and can suck a tennis ball thru a garden hose.

I like a personal connection too.  

I saw a lady the other day that I hadn't seen in quite a while.  As I was getting in for my ritual pre-fun shower she said "here's some unscented soap - I got it just for you."

Ok, that's maybe less of an emotional connection story and more like a really nice customer service story.  Anyway - it was very considerate of her to think about me like that.  Little things matter.

Also, she probably didn't want to hear another rant about how Axe body products are ruining the fabric of our society.  

Still, I left thinking "why did I wait so long to see her again - she's super sweet."

Sounds like you found a real cool lady.

I like women that are creative and open minded too.
The one's that surprise you and keep things interesting are really fun.

I think every guy can appreciate good oral skills.

Chemistry at least for me. No rhyme or reason just that look.

Chemistry is impossible to predict or even define, but it is the glue that holds two people together.

It's my favorite thing, so if a man loves to do it, he's automatically on the list. I do have one favorite that doesn't, but he still gets me there, and his personality is really exceptional. We always have a blast together and I can really be myself with him.

Begging? Definitely!

It's been a while since I hobbied so my current list is very short. But with that said I've seen some women who were tens in looks and 6's in personality. And vice versa. I guess what makes a favorite for me would be an attractive lady ( and that is very subjective to the beholder) that's #1.  
#2 would be a ease to talk with. I mean let's face it biology pretty much dictates that tab A goes into slot B or hole C or D. So all that is normal. But to have a woman just "get me" or even pretend to goes a long ways.  
#3 an easy attitude. By that I mean not just go through the motions but to do the stuff I want to do including pleasuring the lady( or at least trying to).  
#4 last one. There is something hot as hell about just a robe on greeting me at the door and nothing on when I get out of the shower. Again that's personal preference and opinion. And we all know opinions are like assholes lol.

Of course there are the physical attributes and performance acrobatics that light the fire of desire to take you higher, but an ATF has that intangible quality that is distinctive, yet defies description.  The one word term "chemistry" or "something" are both simultaneously accurate and vague enough to suffice, but leave it to my palaverous nature to dispense a turgid discourse about what makes me reminisce over past and future rendezvous with those luscious ladies.

Without naming names, I will cite a personal example that defies description. During one of my initial visits with a (hopefully still) current ATF, I awkwardly blurted out the phrase "You are not my type." This was not anywhere near what I meant, but male thoughts (or lack thereof) and female interpretation can be polar opposites. I tried in vain to walk back that unfortunate choice of words, and while taken aback, she remained professional beyond reproach. Since then I have been extremely  lucky for her to accept me back, and I have since returned more times than I can count to a wonderful woman who is not only great in the sack, but open and responsive to my many idiosyncrasies.  

Another issue from my perspective as a hobbyist is how we as clients set our assumptions. Perhaps we have those great expectations before an initial session only to leave disappointed as though we had an encounter with the beautiful but cold-hearted character Estella. As another personal example, I will relate my own Tale of Two (insert provider name that rhymes with Cities). Both providers are similar in age and offerings. For one, I had Great Expectations based on ads, reviews, and pre-encounter communication. For the other my expectations were much lower, again based on ads and reviews. In an allover twist, I can't wait to return again and again to the lady who I initially had the lesser expectations and will most likely not return to the woman for whom I had great expectations. I relate this tale not to shill or disparage one provider over another, but simply to interconnect that sometimes, we, the hobbyists, are as much of an ingredient in the recipe of cooking up a savory craving that simmers as an ATF.

Being a somewhat palaverous gent myself I understand where you are coming from.  Of course it has happened on more than one occasion where a favorite says "will you shut up and fuck me already?"  A guy's gotta respect that, right?  I know I do.

On your point of having someone that can understand you, I totally agree.  An essential (but often unspoken) prerequisite for my favorites is that they are able put up with me.  All of me.  My moods and requests and role-plays and "unique" sense of humor.  Yeah, "humor" - that's what I call it anyways.  And I am sympathetic that it is no small task for a mortal woman.  I can be quite a handful most days. 

We find that special person that can feed off our crazy energy or ideas or sexual dynamism (that's a word, right?) and an average encounter becomes amazing.  That's chemistry.  Or fate.  Or luck.  Or super great acting ability.  One of those anyway...  But you're right it does takes two to spark and kindle that fire.

We discussed it recently in another post, but going in with a great attitude (and reasonable expectations) always helps provide a positive outcome.
