Just one more reason why allowing the use of an alias is a bad idea. Would you really find that thread to be. "interesting" if you posted without an alias, or at least the threat of it being turned? Same question for the original poster of that disturbing thread on the GD board.

Those partys have always been great to me its not good to get drunk n outta control ANYWHERE people will take advantage. What the ladies need to remember is that this is a buisness function. Not a party amongst friends where you can lose some control because youre amongst trusted and known souls. This is not that type of function and being out of it there has soooo many bad aspects to it that its not worth the free drunk LOL!

But from my experience ....at meet and greets there are clicks, groupies, gropers...lushes...attention seekers....and it's business as usual for some. I always thought it wasn't about business. Instead of helping out an intoxicated provider...I can see a different scenario. What it all boils down to is this....what's more important. Taking care of someone in the community who needs a hand, or taking care to look the other way and look better than the "drunk" provider. Someone can always step up to the plate to help or they can just sit back and be judgmental.  Maybe some might think she got what she deserved.....since she's a drunk...
I went to a meet and greet in Dc once. Sat with a guy who was concerned that a lady had drunk too much. She had a few guys hanging around her keeping an eye on her. He told me he had a date with her that day and they finished 2 bottles of wine. And there she was barely able to stand up at the party. You never know what happens before after or during...Maybe there should not be free pour any more at meet and greets.
