I'm curious about how other hobbyists use reviews.

...other factors such as info on the boards, her posts, photos, etc added to that one bad review might have an influence on whether I see her or not.

not really especially if it is one of few poor scores.
I already know appearance scores are inflated going in.
but it used to be a lot more ymmv but as market prices
have risen I put a lot more weight in all reviews.

maybe their chemistry was off or the bad reviewer hygiene was bad so she didnt go all in

What does the review actually say?  I just read a review where the provider got a 6 in performance but the description was quite favorable.

I always looks for consistency in the bad reviews and the good reviews.....if the handful of sub-par reviews have similar reads (same accounts/same experiences) -- then there is always a YMMV possibility that you may have a similar experience which makes it a dice roll.

For me, the Review(s) serve as only one source of my decision making.  As some of the others have stated, I look for consistency and trends across all of the reviews.  As we all know, while TER and other boards attempt to legislate what activities warrants certain "Performance" scores, there is still a fair amount of subjectivity involved, and that is definitely true on the "Appearance" portion as well. That's why I don't place a lot of stock in low numbers and I'm reasonably suspicious of all high numbers.  What's the saying, "One Man's Heaven is another's Hell" .  Of course, I pay close attention to Reviewers that I know have similar taste as myself, and place a lot more weight on their comments.  I also utilize the back channel discussions.  While nothing is 100% Full proof or Fool proof, having multiple sources in making your decision does help.

I'll usually overlook one bad review...

They're three types of reviewers.. pricks who score low no matter what, pussy whipped guys who score 9/10 or 10/10 every review.. then you have guys with balanced scores who give their honest opinion.

I tend to gravitate towards reviewers with the more believable balanced reviews such as der, and sir cum... just to name a few

But to answer your question, I will overlook one bad review.. I know gals can't be on their A game with every client they see.




 

Not every client is going to fall in love with a provider no matter how fabulous she is.  I would say having 2 yrs of good reviews makes her a consistent gal.  There's a lot that goes into a session and while he may be a vetted reviewer, is he a harsh reviewer?  was he client having a bad day?  did he present himself or do something that caused her to be turned off while he was there?  was she having a bad afternoon?  It's one review of 25 - nothing more.  I would say that more could lend more to her credibility than should count against her.

If a gal has 100 reviews and 10 are not stellar, she is still going to get just as much business. Just because a guy is well established does not mean a thing in regards to reviews. You don't know if he was a total asshole to her, and that's why he wrote what he did. Many times guys barter for discounts and bareback with reviews, so don't discount that either. Anyone can also have an "off date" meaning two people just don't click, no matter how hard they try.

there are two or three reviewers who I have followed who I share similar views with.
If it's not one of those three, then I look at their reviews and see if we shared similar ratings on any provider.  
If neither of the above, then it's of little weight.

I take pride on making sure I'm squeaky clean and smelling good, and expect the same from my lady.  I'm with you, an Odor is a major turn off and deal breaker for me, but having said that, anyone can possibly have a bad day, and would give it more investigative time, such as checking with other Hobbyist, especially those Hobbyist that have seen her that I know.

Hygiene is a stopper for me dead in my tracks.

Unless it's a fake review, which aren't that hard to spot

Throw out the top and bottom scores.  
Don't get discouraged by the East German judge, or you'll probably miss out on a good experience.

If you really want to see her, then a discrete inquiry to her about the review will certainly guarantee that she'll be fresh when YOU arrive.  As for his review, I'd be interested if he showered when he arrived.  Sometimes the ladies run a little late 'cause of real life problems.  Many are single moms, for example.  In those cases, I've had 'em ask to join me in the shower more than once.

it may not be logical, but if all reviews are glowing and one review said she smelled like smoke, older than advertised, or even claims the other reviewers overrated her, it turns me off.  There are too many alternatives

I find my friends that visit me are consistent in their written review portions; thus, highly happy and want to return.  However, a few times that didn't translate in their scoring if they are "low scoring hobbyists".  I know I give my all to make every experience unforgettable so this is such a conundrum to me lol!  Thanks for the postings to explain more.

a out of place review score draws far more attention to itself the a string of excellent one. I do understand the need for them ( especially in the case of a downward trend or other issues) but they call attention to themselves.  
Just saying

I have seen bad reviews from someone who has either no other reviews or very few. I suppose someone could use an alias to post a bad review, but I wouldn't give that much weight.

My last review is from a person whom I called a stalker and told I would not be available too, i still have the texts saved, after that text to him, I strangely got a new review, it was a total lie, a disgusting one at that. It is totally out of frame of my reviews yet just enough nice things to seem accurate. Reviewers an use these forums to ruin ladies as well, please remember that. Ladies have no means to dispute or tell you the truth. I'd just say yes e careful but mindful as well.
