I'll put my recommendation in for Liv. She's an very tall, amazon of a woman who was a stripper before she entered the escort business. I remember a session a few years ago with her where she set up the perfect VIP room situation with an incredible dance that turned into a fantastic GFE session. She seems to be on and off now on City Vibe, but she's amazing if you're into the tall, amazon type.

I recognize that there are exceptions out there, but my experience would generally say no.

Skipping the occasional short lived happy conclusion after a nite at a gentlemen's club, I have found that ladies who are dancers tend to bring the cash shark attitude into the bedroom and their one or more hour escort session tends to be weak to disappointing.  I have real negative bias for ala carte pricing once we start.

I have also gone to clubs with escorts, and their aggressive lust inspiring dance tends to be so-so.  Oh I love it when they play with other dancers, but you can always tell who makes their living hustle grinding for a Jackson.

Nirvana would be finding a great escort, one that can sustain two hours of fantasy intimacy, yet brings their own music and can at some point(preferably early) in the session work me with the lust inspiring ownership of the stage (absent the needing a 20every 2.5 minutes)

Anyway, thoughts?  If there is a lady out there I am overlooking, please let me know.

With very few exceptions, strippers and escorts have completely different psychology and skill set.  Cross overs are possible but rare.

Ask the escorts and MOST will tell you "I could never do that job".

Ask the strippers and MOST will tell you "I don't have to do XYZ, I am no hooker"

1. Rejection

Strippers have to deal with something that internet based companions do not - REJECTION.

By the time we ladies of TER are contacted by prospective patron, he seen our pictures, reviews, websites, rates, and pretty much made his decision.  Marketing done in indirect way that does not involve direct solicitation and possible rejection.  I have over 6-8 thousand hits to my website every month, but these prospective/current/past patrons are not in communication with me until they are good and ready to make the appointment.  There is no interaction between us until their answer is YES.

Strippers on another hand have to directly approach dozen guys for one lap dance.  They meet their prospective/current/past patrons and get rejected right there on the spot more often than not, and it happens in front of other people.

2) Repeat Business

In smaller cities I would imagine strippers unlike escorts have to cultivate repeat clientele.  In highly transient cities like Las Vegas strippers know that they have to get all they can from each client they meet NOW.  He may never be this drunk and in LV again in his life :)

Escorts on another hand have to have repeat business in order to succeed.  Truly exceptional companion has customer retention rate of 80 - 100 percent.

3) Reputation

One really bad session can ruin any established companion's business for a very very long time.   We are reviewed both in public and back channel on daily basis.  

Strippers (unless we are talking about someone well known) enjoy greater anonymity and can reinvent themselves with greater ease.

Advice? Hire companion, go with her to strip club and then back to your room and get your rocks off!

I was a bartender in a strip club that was associated in Las Vegas,Manhattan and Atlanta. High-end strip club owners will NOT tolerate their dancers 'turning a trick' outside of the club. The Gold Club in Atlanta,Ga was shut down due to prostitution,organized crime influence. Many exotic dancers look down on call girls and hookers. In the early 1990's adult film stars began encrouching into Nude clubs. They made NO friends with the dancers due o the fact they commanded HUGE $$$$ for 2-3 night appearances. When they performed on stage the house dancers were forbidden to sell lap dances or table dances. Only VIP champagne booths that started at 200-1500 for a bottle of champagne,25min,1/2hr,1hr time allotments. There was a time that Porn girls never engaged in sex for money other than on film by contract. Sunset Thomas the porn star that broke the  taboo when she was hired by 'Dennis Hof' of the 'Moonlite Bunny Ranch' in 2001. The same way Call girls despise Street walkers and Strippers depised Porn stars. Its all about Status,weak Ego to be honest Women can't seem to shake the competitive trait neither can men. Look at Bill Gates and Steve Jobs enemies to the end hopefully respected secretly?

There are those that would say that I'm now old and stupid, I threw away a lot of money at strip joints. The dumbest thing I ever did was waste 200 on a VIP room at a popular Atlanta club. I got nothing. Now, that being said, I've had some great times....but never in Atlanta. At Mons Venus in Tampa and a couple of the Vegas clubs, I felt like I got my money's worth. I think back then it was like 50 bucks for 3 lap dances at Mons and 100 for 30 minutes in a VIP room in Vegas. I got satisfied, if you know what I mean. There is something about a 20 something hard body grinding all over you......but more times than not, I felt like I got ripped off.
All those times were before I discovered TER. As frustrated as I get with TER sometimes, it is a great tool. If you're willing to do your homework, it's rare to have a bad experience.

Very well thought out and put together reply to the main question.  I agree with everything that you have said; it is quite rare to see a girl who can successful do both.

I started out in adult entertainment as a stripper(for only 6 months) and as my club began having troubles I found out about this side of things.  My 1st day as a provider I made triple what I made as a stripper by 2pm!!!  At that point I thought, "Why the hell was I working from 2pm-4am for less than this?!"  It was a done at that point.  I loved being on stage but I love having a life more.  A stripper can make the argument that she is not a hooker (ROTFLMAO) but so many do "extra" things in VIP that are the domain of the escort and see patrons outside of the club for extra cash.  It is a rare stripper who only strips.

Not point in reiterating what you stated so well.  Not much crossover but it does happen.

Started off in the adult industry as a dancer, turned down opportunities to become an escort and a porn star then. Did other things professionally, but the stage & money were always a draw to me. A girlfriend told me about craigslist, but then needed me to bond her out...so that wasn't the way I wanted to attempt being indy. So I worked for a b&s agency in S Fla for a couple of months (weekends mostly as I wasn't full-time) and then I went indy...

I still dance on occasion, when a club will let me work a day here or there (unbelievable, they want a "schedule") but it takes a lot of physical effort to dance well, so staying in shape comes with being a dancer.
