It is alleged the Alabama Football head coach, Mike Price, has been accused of using his university credit card for the services of escorts. According to news reports, he has charged at least $5,000 worth of charges for escort services.
If I was back in high school going through the recruitment process again, Alabama just jumped to the top of my list LOL. Hell if the coach is cool with getting 5K worth of booty, imagine the perks the players get !!!!!!!!
To the ladies, if my beloved Miami Hurricanes come to town PLEASE do not accept any credit cards. At the very least get in touch with me and I’ll get someone to process the card so it looks like the guys paid for some really expensive dry wall. It’s a win win for all involved. The coaches get laid, the lady’s get paid, and the Hurricanes make another run at the title.
Who alleged that Coach Price did this? After I read your post, I looked at the major sports web sites, such as Yahoo and ESPN, and they don't have anything on this at all. Can you provide a link so we can check this?

So far the only reports on this are message board postings (and the message boards are going nuts) and Paul Finebaum - not exactly the best journalistic sources. The only reports in "legitimate" outlets are that Price met with AD Mal Moore twice over the weekend. As of this afternoon there had been no Trustees meeting, which would probably be required to can the guy. No conclusions yet - may be that he just tied one on and the rumor mill took it from there.
But if it's true, it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of folks - sorry, I couldn't resist!
Being a University of Tennessee graduate and a big time SEC fan I have been deeply troubled by the lack of sound judgement and common sense that the University of Alabama administrators, trustees and athletic donors have used over the past 13 years!
Steve Sloan and Bill Curry may not have been the brightest light bulbs on the planet, but they are a whole lot better than what they replaced (Ray Perkins) and who replaced them. I knew a raving bama fan who always said I was a country boy because of my accent! Well, I am Winston Churchill when compared to that idiot Mike DuBose! Did you ever hear how stupid he sounded after speaking two sentences?
If a university gets arrogant and a 'holier than thou' attitude about athletics and you don't control boosters and set clear expectations on behavior and conduct, there is danger of this happenning.
Besides, they let Scrushy from Healthsouth be on the Board of Trustees and praised him for his leadership, ethics and vision. I wonder if the SEC and the Feds will want the donations made to the University by Scrushy back?
But, I shouldn't complain or be judgemental. This can happen at any major university and it goes on more than you think. Remember Pat Dye and the utter arrogance he displayed?
And don't think for a second that it couldn't happen in Knoxville!
The lesson learned is to pay cash!
