Very sad but, look at the mixture of things.  Drugs, crack, unprotected sex and the list goes on........

Hope no one on this board pursues any of these

Peace

She looks ill. She's why I am in this particular community. I have a sence, allbeit maybe a false sense, that the people who participate in this particular community practice safely and responsibly. If anyone who appeared to be that ill ever came across one of us, I would expect to hear about it immediately. I haven't seen it here yet, but back home in Los Angeles, there were several reviews by reputable hobbyist that seemed to brag and boast about certain unsafe practices being allowed by certain providers. The community outrage directed towards the hobbyist and provider made it clear that that type of behavior was outrageous by both parties and would not be tolerated.

We may autonymous with our screen tags and email but we're closer to one another than you may think.

That there is a security within this community...I've seen gents on this site and others asking about SW action all the time, and that is scary.

What I find scary, is when I read someone's reviews, esp. gents I have seen, and find out they are having unprotected sex with providers, or having sex with TV/TS(no offense to them, but now I don't feel comfortable giving blood for good causes...)

I can't say that I'm perfectly sterile, because one never knows, but there are reasons why I get tested regularly, why I got my HepB vaccine, why my only doubles partner gets tested regularly, or if we ask each other to, and why I truly promote testing and getting your Hep vaccines.  Of course, this doesn't cover every risk, but I know gents find a stigma in getting tested....There are plenty of places to get tested anonymously...just do it, please...These topics always give me the heebie-jeebies....:-@

We just hope it doesn't happen to us...

Sofia

P.S.  That site is pretty scary, though; which means I'm NEVER going to OKC!!!

So now that you've shown your a**, you care to explain yourself?

I can assure you that because I have CHOSEN to change my body to enhance myself and match the soul I share. I would also challenge you to say that I HAVE "given blood for good causes" for my friends who need it. You won't see me putting someone down like you just have. I do more for my community than you could ever think of. I support the very bigotry you advocate in your post. I am clean and disease free. I have been and am one of the premier TS's in the country. I can't BELIEVE WHAT I'M READING!!!!!!!

You need to grow up and stop showing yourself. I now know who you are, and I can promise you, my friends will know not to support you.

Go ahead, get yourself out of this one. I'd like to see. Are you for real? Just so you know, I have seen a few of your clients. Yes, I have looked at your reveiws, I know them. My policy of discretion won't allow me to tell you who, but just know I saw them before you did. Now what do you have to say?

M M M Don't get me started. No matter what you have said, you can't take it back. Do you show yourself alot?

Forgive me for my outburst but this kind of thing is unacceptable. No matter what she says to redeem herself, people like this are why gay children, children who want to come out won't.

Sadly, you're serious.

You're a man who engages is homosexual activities.  She said she feels uncomfortable seeing men who have seen a TV/TS.  I feel uncomfortable seeing a lady who sees men who have seen a TV/TS for exactly the same reasons.  I know I have unknowingly done so in the past and probably will in the future.  For that reason, I have no problem with any provider's safety rules.
I have no problem with gay/bi men, so don't even try to call me a homophobe.  I don't have any close personal friends who are gay because I just don't have that much in common with most of the gay men I know.  I work with more than a few, and most of them are great people.  That doesn't mean I want to share partners with them.  You engage in the riskiest form of sexual behavior.  Kudos for practicing safe sex, but it only takes one broken condom with the wrong person to change irrevocably change your life.  How DARE you condemn someone for worrying about their own health?  Her safety far outweighs your fragile psyche.  If I have to choose between my life and your ego, fuck your ego.

Honestly If I came across someone appearing like that I would simply walk away. I also beleive, one can find out a lot about a provider and a hobbyst for that matter over the phone and through email based on how they talk and respond.

Unless someone is stupid or has a death wish.

Another reason I stick with few favorites mine all the time, somewhat makes me feel safe. I know for sure they are careful and practice safely.

My ego isn't at question here. Nor is my choice of lifestyle.
I could give a shit whether you like me or not.

"but it only takes one broken condom with the wrong person to change irrevocably change your life." Lemme let you in on a little clue, a condom can break on anyone. I have no problem for caring for her safety. However, it people like you and she who aren't smart enough to realize that our community is intertwined. If you don't think so you are sadly mistaken. I HAVE SEEN A FEW OF HER CLIENTS before she did. So are you now never going to see her because you now know this?

"You engage in the riskiest form of sexual behavior" Hm, Well let me ask you, what makes you think that what I do is any different than these girls and guys who partake in GREEK???????????? You want to put me down?

Go ahead, show your ass some more. You and Sofia are probably the majority but certainly not part of the informed.

A few bullet points.

I've already seen her, and I had a great time.
Of course this community is intertwined.  That's why I try to minimize my risks.  Everyone has a level of risk they are willing to accept.  Mine doesn't include gay sex.
Greek sex is the riskiest sex act.
I don't see providers who I know do greek.
I'll show all the ass you can handle if you want to go there. (did that come out right?)
To quote you, "I could give a shit whether you like me or not."
Your lifestyle is ABSOLUTELY the point.
Be here, be queer, but take your militant attitude and shove it.
Don't take my lack of response to your next flame as victory.  I have a date with a beautiful WOMAN in half an hour.

I want to know why she has issues with TS and what that has to do with giving blood?

I suppose there are only Aids vistims in OKC too, right? The mentality and the thought process is how she is showing her ass.

Trip,

Have a great night but I think my original post was directed to her. I addressed you, you answered, fine, lets hear from Ms. Sofia. I wonder if she has problems with those of you who do have diseases and still hobby? Does she think she hasn't seen them either? I wonder if she has problems with people who use drugs and do stupid things while doing them. Any of us would be fooling ourselves if we think we haven't. Health checks are important but to exclude one group of us as she has is wrong.
No one can be perfect as she says however, to point out one particular part of this community is absurd in the context she has done it.

Thank GOD I'm not there and once others see this insanity, I assure you, Atlanta will become even higher on the DO NOT TOUR list.

Yes we read ALL the boards. And YES we see your men.

I know I am not from Hotlanta (I do love it there..GO BRAVES!), but a friend of mine who I respect asked me to take a gander at this whole thread.
OK those of you who do not know me, I am from Sandy Eggo, CA and yes I am a Post-Op TS (gawd I hate those 2 letters in my name). I just posted on the TS board in response to someone asking why a provider would not see a hobbyst that has seen a TS? Well for the uneducated, the thought would be that a TS is just a gay guy with breast's. Well OK that was the uneducated thought, but you need to delve deeper into the whole story obviously. Now I am not saying that there are not probably those who are just a gay guy with breast's, but those are a whole differnt story all together, and you should really look at the person and not what they say they are?
OK.......ME......... and I know I am not alone in this. I personaly never had ANY kind of relationship (sex or anything) with a male prior to my Sexual Reasignment Surgery (SRS), it just was not right for me. Nor have I ever engaged in Greek either. So where does this thought of me being a higher risk to anyone for HIV come to play? Well it doesn't period! In fact the truth is most Genetic Girl's (GG's) would have a higher risk percentage than me based on the fact they have been engaging in sex for a longer period of time.
There is also the factor that all of us female providers, see gentlemen who are not always forth rite with us, so we have no idea as to where he was yesterday, a month ago, or even longer. The truth is that there are alot of BI men that will never cop to us or anyone else that they see guys on the side. So just because he see's a TS provider that is really nothing. Then there is the other side of the coin, how many providers are not always forth rite in who they see, or if they use drugs intravenously. The real truth in this equation is don't feel just because a provider is a TS she will put you at risk. We are all in a higher risk catagory due to the fact we are either hobbyst or providers. PLEASE PLEASE ALWAYS PLAY SAFE, and be human to everyone, we all have feelings, we all want the same thing in life, and wether or not you agree with what one does or feels about them self. We are all here together.

Cheers!
Kyliesd

First of all...ladies, ladies....I would NEVER intentionally single out TS/TV just because they are TS/TV...let us get that very clear.

The only reason I mentioned it, is that because when you give blood, they ask:  "Have you or anyone you know ever had sex with a man who had sex with a man since 1977?"  I know I'm not speaking verbatim, but it's pretty clear...

TS, I have nothing, and I stress nothing; against any TS/TV...I think all of you are some of the sweetest, strongest, most beautiful ladies out there...When they change those damned questions, I'll think differently; but that is how it is now.  I should be upset they ask if you've been in Mexico in the past 2/3 years also; but I haven't.

Don't take it so literally, please.  Kylie made a wonderful and truthful point, and I do take that to heart, and really thank her for taking the time to dispel many of the myths.  Maybe I should have put my words differently...and I will remember that in the future.  And yes, I do worry about the other GG's...I have NO idea if any of them test, and that bothers me to an extreme degree, as do the gents who don't even know why a Hep vaccine is important.  Kylie hit the nail on the head...but even the plethora of threads on a safety topic like this never get noticed...why is that?  That, in and of itself; is a very serious problem

Sorry for the length, but I wanted to be very clear to these ladies that I adore them for who they are...it was just a question that is asked when you give blood...that is all, ok?  I don't want any of you ladies upset with me...(You can get very feisty...lol!)

Except for Sofia, I don't know anyone contributing to this topic because of the plethora of handles that don't mean a damn thing to me. I can't figure out who is male, female, TS, TV,or genderless. It would seem that there is an underlying hatred between and among some providers that transcends health safety concerns. It's as if one provider was lying in wait for another provider in order to ambush her/him, just for the sake of a fight.
I happen to agree with Sofia, that everyone in the business, provider and client alike , should get tested regularly for HIV, AIDS, Hep.B, STDs etc. I'd rather date a provider who has been tested and passed.
Just my $.02

Everybody, with NO EXCEPTIONS, is high risk unless they are celebate. Both providers and hobbiests, no matter what gender or sexual preference are HIGH RISK. We all hold a gun to our heads. Testing is fine but with many STD's it is too late because they are incurable.
We are also constantly bombarded by "information" from the "health care community".
Is all the info really true.
Here is a thought. How much influence does the medical/drug groups profit motive involve their press releases.
If they cure something they lose money, jobs, etc.
Do you ALWAYS believe everything you hear, read or watch on TV?
Television has become very important to the giant drug companies.
There is an abundance of adds that tell us to ask our doctor for a particular drug. Are we THAT STUPID?
As you can tell, I'm not a big fan of the drug companies.
They use FEAR to influence or even control.

So, in closing, my dear friends, the ONLY safe action to take is to get tested TWICE to see if we are clean. Once just is NOT enough. The lab tech might be nursing a hangover...LOL...
After testing we need to all become celebate.
Purchase dildos, vibrators, XXX movies and live in a cave.

See you in the cave...LOL...

With much love and respect.
My .02,
Misguided Tony

Like the song says...
I'm not crazy, just a little impared...LOL...

Sofia:

Seems to me like you are being very selective as to which questions you're concerned with when you give blood.
I just found the new versions of the questions they ask.  I hope you are honest when you answer these:

-In the past 12 months have you had sex with a prostitute or
anyone else who takes money or drugs or other payment for sex?

-Since 1977 have you ever received money, drugs, or other payment for sex?

These are the revised versions of similar questions and may not be in use at all facilities but intent is still there.

I hope you are honest when you answer these questions.
And if you aren't being honest when you answer that question,
why are you giving blood in the first place?

Inquiring minds want to know.

(revised to include actual questions verbatim)

You're absolutely right.  Your post was directed to Sofia.  She made a simple statement about safety, and you went off on her like a total bitch.  She's too much of a lady to go off on you for your unwarranted overreatcion, but I'm not.  Your first post on the Atlanta board is to come down on one of Atlanta's finest with a holier than thou attitude?  Fuck that shit.  It doesn't slide around these parts.  Don't mistake our southern hospitality as being slow or dimwitted.  After I first read your original post, I went back and reread Sofia's because I missed the insult that set you off.  It turns out I didn't miss it because there was none.  You reacted in a way that only someone in our self-absorbed codependant society could.
Nothing I write here is going to stop anyone from seeing anyone else.  I can only control what I do based on the information that I have.  If you don't want to tour Atlanta, big deal.  We have plenty of quality locals to keep us happy for a long, long time; and personally, I've been hit on by enough men to know I'm not interested.  Atlanta has a thriving gay community.  There are plenty of options for all those men who want to get a little dick even without a self righteous drag queen.  We'll get along just fine without you.
I hope you live a long and happy life as a woman, but be a fucking man about it.  Every sexual act involves some degree of risk.  Being in this hobby drastically increases the risk.  For you to go off on someone for being worried about the added risk of being with someone they KNOW has engaged in sex of the HIGHEST risk is unacceptable in my eyes.
You posed a couple of stupid questions to Sofia, but you're going to get MY answers.
Do I have a problem with people who have diseases and still hobby?  YES, of course.  I have just as much of a problem with people who don't have diseases and just don't seem to care if they catch one.
Do I have a problem with people who use drugs and do stupid things while on them?  YES, I do.  I did a lot of drugs and a lot of stupid things when I was younger.  I was a fool; a goddamned lucky fool to have made it out the other side alive and clean.  If I were gay, my odds of making it through that time in my life would have been greatly reduced.
In closing, GET OVER YOURSELF.  Being a transsexual may make you a better person, but it doesn't make you any better than her or any other person.  You seem to have the same attitude towards the straight community as you see fit to accuse Sofia of having towards transsexuals.

p.s. I had a good time, but it could have been a lot better.  I should have seen a local.

MartinL,

Well, it appears I haven't given blood in some time...lol!  Well, I suppose I can't give blood anyway, then, can I?

Of course, I think the last time I did give blood, was over 3 years ago, now that I think about it.

So, my fault...Now, my question for you guys...So, when you take a woman out on a real date, wine, dine, movies...And have sex afterwards...Is that considered paying for sex????

Just a little comic relief...lol!

I just want us all to be a little safer...sometimes it is difficult for me to see when gents sleep with certain providers...some ladies don't even "appear" sanitary...No offense to anyone in particular; but that is just how I feel...

Hope this was honest enough, ML...Thanks for doing the research!

Thank you for your candor.  Wish more people were as concerned about the health and well-being of others.  Hearing of ladies who offer BBFS, and gents who try to get it in sneaky or not so sneaky ways;  having guys defend BBFS on other boards; just makes one want to wear a full-body condom some days ya know?

We never know who our next partner may have seen last.  I would like to think more partakers in this hobby on both sides of the bed were more diligent.  All the more reason for it to be decriminalized and let the resources going to fight real crimes, then we all could turn our attention away from dodging LE and focus on dodging the 'bugs' that are out there.

Talk to you in chat again soon, I hope!
