Why is it that some providers will charge more money in certain cities but their normal local rates in other's? I spoke to one lady who was charging $250 more than her local rate when she was in NY, but her normal rate whan she was coming here. I asked her was the hotel rate in NY that much more. and she said no the hotel rate was basically the same. The I asked is there a lower volume of clients she see's there and is trying to make it worth her visit, and she said no, the business is just as good in the two cities. Then I asked did she feel the rate was more in line with the other local ladies there and she said no and acknowledged it was way above the norm. So I had to flat out ask her why and she said because guys in New York make more and are willing to pay more than in Atlanta. I guess that is another reason why I'm glad I don't live in NY.

I could understand why a lady would raise her rates for the reason's I asked but do you ladies really feel you can get more out of guys in different cities? If so where does Atlanta fall in the pecking order because I will notice higher rates for traveling ladies in some cities like NY or LA but normal prices in other cities like Atlanta or Detriot. Again, hotel rates are about the same in all these cities and all are major hubs so airline fare should be decent depending on where you are flying from. I know traveling ladies have to do a certain amount of business to make the trip profitable but wouldn't raising rates very high cause guys to pass? Just curious.

Simple economics Panther, I think.  Girls are going to get what they can get based on going rates in given markets.  From my travels mostly in the Southeast and in Houston, Atlanta is sort of in the middle with regard to pricing for a provider.  Houston is the cheapest.  I've seen comparable girls in Houston for $50-100 less than in Atlanta or Miami.  Lots of girls in Houston and they've got walk in places!  Houston is a buyer's market and a great value.  I've been in places like Charlotte and Raleigh where average girls get top dollar because there are not a lot providers there so they charge what they want.  This is my experience others may vary.

The answer is simple....remember the old saw,.... why does a dog lick his balls? Because he can!  The providers know what to charge and what they can get in various markets.

At home I have a know overhead. I also have "regular expenses" When traveling my expenses can be higher or lower depending on the city. There are also areas that just have an unbelievable need for providers, but their economy is based on a lower cost of living, thus a provider will see a couple more clients but at a lower suggested gift rate. The area usually dictates the customary gift offer...  BUT .... many times the demand for time plays a more inportant role. (~Plus in some cities, "being out of reach" for the average guy is sometimes a good thing, helps to screen the clients I may really enjoy spending time with~) Just my .02  kisses  Candace

I think you may not have read my post fully, because the lady in question said her hotel rate was the same in Atlanta as it was in New York (She is based in D.C.). So that cancels out the overhead. New York also has more providers than Atlanta so the demand would be greater here. The ecomony may be better in New York but I think that is a moot point. I use to live in New York and made slightly more money BUT my rent and cost of living was more than here so the amount I could save made Atlanta a better option. The amount you can save and not what you can make is the true indicator of a better economic region. I think that is true across the board for most in Atlanta which is why we have one of the highest quality of life indexes in the country, hence you would think she would charge more here. Again her rate here was in line with the local ladies here as well as in her home city in D.C. but in New York she charged so much more. I guess your final point may be the real reason and that is for screening purposes. You may know better than me but maybe the class of clients in New York are not the same as here and in other cities and if she has to put up with crap I guess she is making sure it is worth her time to do so.
