I am new the hobby but have already had several bad experiences setting appointments with providers. I contact provider in advance (1-2 weeks) schedule appt. get confirmation from provider that it is scheduled and I am told to contact her on the day of. I call the day of to confirm time and details, and it’s like we have never spoken before (who are you? what appt.? or even worse never get a call back). One their website they encourage scheduling appt. in advance, but if you are new and call for the same day they are hesitant and think you are LE.
It all seems like a catch 22.......

Any suggestions..............

it better to try and schedule the same day, with like an hour or two in advance....

Ah, to be new again.  You are going to learn that time, a provider's time, has changed its value.  As you learn what you like in this hobby--you're going to start to appreciate providers who value YOUR time, cherish it.  That is when you become a REGULAR!

I've experienced the same thing with a few of the providers.
I have one regular that I know I'm considered a regular with her and very up front with her about it.
I can call her if it doesn't work out with someone else.
We seemed to hit it off IN ALL WAYS.
Of course I don't call at the last minute to her and always call the other new one back and at least leave a message thanking her for nothing politely.
Until that occurs that you have someone, its trial and error.
Have fun and don't frustrate yourself.
