So a friend brought me by to the Tilted Kilt restaurant the other day.  I have to admit I love outfits, and these little schoolgirl-like uniforms are (IMHO) a great deal better than Hooters.  Anyone else think the same thing?  I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

My two visits to Tilted Kilt, I formed an impression that on a sliding slut scale (hey, this is all in fun, please don't get offended, "slut" refers to image being projected by the brand' marketing theme of the place, not the fine wholesome ladies themselves at any establishment I may mention here), Kilt is somewhere in between Hooters and the Pink Pony.  Hooters pretty much has a rule against visible body ink for their girls (I was told this by a Hooters server while we compared and contrasted the Kilt with Hooters) whereas at the Kilt it almost appeared as if ink was a prerequisite.  I like schoolgirl outfits when done right, but the ink together with the schoolgirl image is not a good mix for my tastes.  The text at Hooters, like on the menu, is all in jest, they don't try to pretend to be anything more than fun and hopefully sexy along the way, but like a cheerleader or bikini model in their ideal.  At the Kilt, painted on the mens room wall was a quote, something to the effect of "no matter how good looking she is, somewhere is a guy tired of her shit".  Which is funny, okay, but it is a rougher type of outlook.  And then further along the scale is the Pony, where its more than fun, its understood its all about sexual stimulation and guess what boys, in exchange for your dollars you really can see what's underneath (not that there's much on to begin with).  For me, I'm sometimes in a Hooters mood, sometimes in a Pony mood (less and less since I entered the hobby and since my best lady retired from there), but the in between sense I get from the Kilt, not so much.

Just my opinion, YMMV.

I agree...the outfits are better than Hooters!!!   they just opened one in Roswell on Holcomb Bridge...   I was shocked, since it took Hooters quite awhile to open a very small location AND they had to agree to certain "things" to be in Roswell.     The economic times have changed....so Roswell is allowing a Tilted Kilt!!!!

The uniforms are smoking - very pleasant to enjoy a beer or five, Never tasted the food, but probably wouldn't go there to eat anyway. Great concept and i'm sure that they are/will continue to do well

I went to the Alpharetta/Johns Creek location for trivia - had a great server, and the food was good.  Liked the Pool Table there.

I went to Cumberland location, the staff and food weren't as good.

I understand there's a Kennesaw location, and I saw the Roswell one under construction a few weeks ago.  Been meaning to check the place out.

I liked it, but I'm always one to be more critical of the servers when they're dressed in skimpy outfits.  It's nice to know a majority of them do not play up their looks in lieu of service.

I was at the location in a popular casino in Las Vegas a couple years back with a buddy that was considering a management job with them.  They were talking about franchising, but couldn't seem to figure out the logistics of it.  He took the job, and quickly got fed up with their lack of vision.

But, the girls were quite attractive, and got more so the more beer we drank.

is it true that the people that started the Tilted Kilt were once part of the management team at Hooters????   if so.....they say....learned.....and decided to make a change!!!!    The Tilted Kilt in Kennesaw is awesome!!!!  I'm a boob man....so it works for me!!!!

The Flying Saucer is a chain of "draught emporiums" stretching from the Carolinas to Texas, but none in GA, FL, MI, LA, or MI.  The standard uniform for their serving "wenches" is knee-socks, short pleated skirt (even shorter than Tilted Kilt) and tight t-shirts.

I'd have to give the edge to the Tilted Kilt thanks to the belly-baring and cleavage friendly tops, but the shorter skirts at Flying Saucer make it a very close competition.  I suppose if an enterprising "wench" from flying saucer were to don a low-cut crop-top then I would give her the edge for the shorter skirt.

better food and better looking waitresses in better looking outfits.  it's been a few months since i've been but i thought the prices were cheaper too.  i think it would be a great place for a m&g.  someone had a post about imagining every hot babe they saw as a provider.  my head just about exploded when i first went.  i would have made my rounds with every waitress in that joint if that were true.  and of course they would all have to wear the uniform.

hey bigjim, i can't believe local ordinance would allow a restaurant to have servers where skirts are shorter than the kilt.  can't wait to visit a flying saucer!!

I know there's two Firkin pubs here in Atlanta: One at Lindbergh station (just up the stairs from the Lindbergh Marta), and another off GA 400 exit 13.  I know the one at Exit 13 has the girls in white shirts and kilts as well.  I don't know if the one at Lindbergh changed their uniforms to try and match TK or not.

....the outfits are better. They have designed the perfect tight boy shorts for the ladies that ride up their ass. The ladies will pull them down over their cheeks, but they talke 1 step, & they migrate back up their crack, & they don't pull them down when they walk, cause it would be more embarassing looking like they're digging for gold!

As the man said, opinions vary.  For me, I love the school girl look.  Never been a fan of the Hooters girls as I'm not at all fond of the damned panty hose.  I like a friendly little wiggle.
