What kind of music do ya'll enjoy listening too? Sometime music can tell you a lot about a person, and other times I think it is interesting when something comes out of left field and surprises you about someone.
Just curious... I'm a big fan of music in general but I'm a big blues and jazz guy.
My taste in music changes like my shoes...based on the circumstances of my day/life.
Within the context of this board...Open a bottle of wine, settle into a long session of sexual healing, with Miles Davis, Kind of Blue, playing in the background. Mmmmmmmmm 😉
It all depends on what I'm doing and what mood I'm in. It could be almost anything but anything with great guitar, piano, violin or vocals that is moving and rhythmically complex. Classical, blues, jazz, and rock are my go to's. I also tend to go through phases where I'll get obsessed with someone in particular before moving on. Here are some things I'm into now.
http://youtu.be/Dgh16z-yFwQ Toe - After image. One of my favorite songs right now. Listen to these guys for a while and any other drummer just won't cut it. http://youtu.be/9efHwnFAkuA Andres Segovia - Asturias. Segovia was the greatest classical guitarist of our time. Anything by him is just hypnotically beautful. http://youtu.be/eIKlV3Hq0W0 Mouse on the keys - Plateau. Love these guys. Not sure how to describe them - Jazz with OCD? LOL http://youtu.be/czkHmjrFCnM Rising Appalachia - Medicine. Good lord these ladies are talented. I'm mesmerized by anything they do. http://youtu.be/mQ5lS4GdiBM Colin Hay - Waiting for my real life to begin. Big Colin Hay fan. Great artist and lyricist. http://youtu.be/YyknBTm_YyM Camille Saint-Saens - Danse Macabre. Strange and haunting. And of course for sexytimes - anything by Sade. -- Modified on 5/30/2015 12:30:41 AM
Well, good sir I must ask you... "Have you ever been mistreated?". I know I have.
But the good news is Buddy will make everything all right. Grab a cold one and enjoy...

Really - if it's well written and executed I can enjoy it. There is some atonal stuff (traditional Asian) that I just can't get my head around but that's a cultural thing. I do have a western bias.....
Now - as far as music in a session is concerned - can't remember a single tune.... Though I know a provider that uses her "soundtrack music" as a timer..
But, let's make sure it lasts through the whole album (see below). And, because we've been eating our wheaties and the first hour was SOOO incredible...let's do a second hour with Miss Jill Scott, Beautifully Human (look that one up when you have time). Then...devote the experience to memory
"Just maintain eye contact, light some scented candles, and throw on some Sade, the early stuff though...before her arrangements got too baroque." - Erlich Bachman, Silicon Valley, Season 2, Episode 7 "Adult Content" LOL! xoxo Caylee
Well, you didn't give me much to work with. Not atonal, well written and executed... check. It's dealer's choice - free music for everybody. Yes, I've had a couple of beers, why do you ask?...
How about a litlle ditty called "The Letter"?

I have to check out Jill Scott, thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks for the compliment, E.

I hope it's cool. I got a bit carried away there. But handing out free music is fun. We should do it all the time. You get a song, and you get a song, and you get a song! Everybody gets a song! I felt like Oprah there for a minute. Except I still don't get my picture on my very own magazine every month. Oh, that and the extra bajillion dollars in my bank account.
I generally don't like music or tv during the session. I like to focus and I find music can be more distracting than helpful.
I have seen a girl once that was playing Rhianna on her laptop, and asked what I liked. I said "not that". So she put on Selena Gomez . . . I think somewhere near the end there might have been some Bieber, but I'm not very good at picking him out. I found I actually enjoyed it, cause it reminded me that she had just turned 19, and that this was all the Disney Channel shit she grew up listening to, which got the old dirty man in me very happy. Outside of the session, I listen to so much, I don't draw many lines, as long as it's good and not filler. I dislike almost anything with Autotunes . . . like really, wtf, you can't sing a song . . . then why am I listening to you? Milli Vanilli got thrashed for lipsyncing, and people letting a computer sing for them get grammies? I'm too old to listen to new music . . . maybe I just draw the line at I like old music. Most every thing after Nirvana is pretty weak. I feel my generation (Gen-X) was blessed to have the history (the Beatles and Elvis were still played), and the 70's were our child hood, then we got the peak of American culture (aka 1985), and then we got to ride out the 90's, it's been a drought ever since
Let's see. A bit of an old school traditionalist. No autotune. Got it. Maybe some classic Queen?

The world wide groove corp. And the thievery corp. I also love Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, classic rock (zeppelin, doors, Hendricks, van halen, etc) other greats for me include crystal method, the prodigy, and not to forget, Nick Farr (classical piano) ahhhh... the list goes on and on I'm a huge music fan and I almost always have some good tunes playing throughout the day Hugs and kisses T
TL You left yourself wide open for this one... Smack my bitch up!
Forgive me Etta and Ella, I love you dearly but the moment presented itself. I meant no disrespect. Please cover your ears for the next few minutes.

In point of fact, I've busted a hobby nut shortly near the time "We are the champions" and " We will rock you" were playing. Lots of ladies like Queen.
But I enjoy the music, my mind needs to focus. I prefer the soothing sounds of "slurp, slurp, gag, slurp, sup, slurp, GULP!"
