Why do most agencies (if not all) list an appointments email on their website but rarely, if ever, respond to emails?   Please, no bullshit replies like we're busy answering phone calls, we prefer phone calls, etc.  If you aren't going to respond to emails, don't list the fucking email address!

When at work, I am unable to talk discreetly on the phone and much prefer those providers and agencies that can work through text messages or email.  Is that so difficult?

Text messages is the Worst way to do buisness.. Did you know that with homeland security the sattelite companys are required to store ALL text messages for 3 months. Not the phone company.. so dont think that once you delete it, its gone. No.
Second the email thing.. Some of us are not tied to the internet 24/7 and check our mail once a day.. Like me I check it at night.. So if you email in the morning and I dont see it till the evening, you wont get answered Till then so IF you were looking for something in that afternoon.. I would have missed it, as it would be too late.  by the time I get it.
Im old school and the phone is the Best way to reach us especially for short notice appointments.
Thats my excuse :) and I stand by it LOL ;) ;)

If you have an iPhone or Android or Blackberry, you can email from your phone. They can all send email through the standard email systems (Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, virtually any IMAP or POP3 provider) and that way you would have your email with you. Check with your service provider.

And I feel like I'm back in the 21st century, lol! I prefer email and text to phone calls as I may not always be available to answer...that and I am notoriously bad at checking voice mail. :(

I've not seen any law requiring a 3 month retention but for those interested in how long your cellphone provider keeps data/txt/call history. Follow the link to the recent report that the ACLU got thru FOIA.

Satellite companies have nothing to do with text messages, all the traffic goes through the same infrastructure as voice calls - from your phone to the cell towers then to the switches then trunked to the general area of the recipient then to the cell tower then to the recipients phone.

All courtesy of the cellphone companies

No satellites involved at all.

maybe youre right....? BUT maybe youre Wrong :) :) As I heard from an agent .. All text messages are saved for 90 days...now who saves it and exactly why.. I dunno Ill ask next time I speak to him :)

PT, your gentleman advisor on the topic is absolutely correct.  Big Brother is alive and well.  As for satellites, it's certainly possible that a satellite is part of the path to get a message from one area to another, but not always.  It just depends.  Regardless, the messages are stored for a period of time.

The text message header information is definitely stored for 90 days or more - from and to numbers, date time etc. However, the actual text data is not generally stored. Homeland security and other LE agencies can apply for a subpoena to get that information and also can get an order to put a "tap" on a particular number. This is typically done for major crimes, terrorism, major drugs, kiddy porn rings etc, while there is a chance that a less minor infraction, such as hobbling, might get done, it would have to be a major bust - underage, human trafficking, mafia etc.

Satellite commuications are very expensive, to shoot data into low eath orbit and back down agai is very expensive, anyone that has ever used a satellite phone on a cruise ship will know that you can get charged $10 per minute. The cellphone carriers use fiber optic cable wherever possible to trunk calls and texts across the country - and abroad.

Sorry for the technical detail, but just want to clarify.

I always operate on the principle that just because you are paranoid, dent mean that bad things are NOT happening.

Be safe.

I do My best to respond to emails as promptly as I can.

However we do not book appointments via email ever.  I accept emails from those who have questions that they may not be able to find an answer to on our website.  We even prefer other agencies and Companions to call us for references, it is more to discreet to speak directly to the person and more personable.  After all we do work in a very personable business.

Do I ever ignore emails?
Yes I ignore anything that is crude in content, detailed, rude or violates our company policies.
Our Policies are clearly laid out.  We work hard to provide professional Customer service and we do our best to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, of course we ask the same courtesies of our clients.  (Not saying that you are being rude in emails).  But most of us Agency owners prefer to personally deal with our clients one on one over the phone ; we get numerous insincere emails daily (not saying you're not sincere), but this is one of many reasons we ask that you take the 5 minutes to pick up and call to book your appointment.

In fact it clearly states this with our email on our web page. . . . .
(Please email if you have questions, we CAN NOT book appointments over email, you MUST call to book an appointment, email responses can take up to 48 hours).

At one point our company offered online booking for our regulars, we are not doing that right now, but hope to do it again soon in the future.

Just wanted to through in My thoughts.  And I am sorry you are not getting the responces that you would like.

Thank you,
Monica
