Sofia, sweetie, they used to slash pigs' throats. Beef are hit between the eyes with a sledge hammer. They are then gutted and the innards are allowed to fall on the floor of the abbattoir(sp?). I think sheep are slaughtered the same way as pigs. That was 50 years ago. Maybe they do it a different way now!! Yukky

.... BUT I personally like the suffocated sea life. *LOL*  From a health stand point "bleeding out" actually rids the tissue of toxins so that maybe a consideration. Trust me... if you have ever seen a person cut open on an OR table that makes their diet "fatty red meat" you would think twice.  Then again, rabbit food is always common ground for most...  kisses Candace

How about a visit to The Body Farm??  Actually, you know that thinner people take longer to decompose, and burn slower than people with more fat...

So I guess there are good things that can happen from not eating meat...And it you have ever skinned and gutted a catfish; while they are still breathing...They can live a long, long time out of water...

But darnit, they are good!!!!

This shows my "other" side...How about a nice medium rare ribeye, with garlic butter, sauteed mushrooms, and a huge piece of wheat challah on the side...??
