I recently went to an in call location and upon arrival was told by the agency to let myself into an apartment with out knocking. I refused to do so on the fact that, I have never used that agency before, never been to that location before, and mostly didn't know what was on the other side. Not to mention it could be considered trespassing, could be the wrong unit, or worst of all a set up. I told the agency I was outside the door and would appreciate it if the door were opened for me, she got mad and hung up.
Am I crazy or is this a common practice with some agencies? I don't think any person who values their safety would practice this whether it be the provider or "their date".

If your actually inside the place. If you were to open the open and stand outside then they couldn't do anything legally lol. However, they could do things, I defiantly wouldn't have just walked in either. But why didn't you at least knock and have someone answer the door?

I was instructed not to  knock and let myself in, as in, turn the door handle and walk in. I said I wasn't going to do that because I was nervous about it. I told them I'm in front of the door and to please tell my date to let me in. They replied back and  said do it again, I said no and they hung up. What if I was at the wrong door?

The agency may not want to receive complaints from other residents about a lot of different guy's knocking and cell phoning at the door as it draws attention to their enterprise.  If you were to simply go to the door and go in it does not draw as much attention and seems to be a normal activity.  However.....anytime a Hobbyist is uncomfortable with the set up or gets that weird 6th sense feeling...then walk away!

Simple rule for many things in life. Plenty of other options.

Years ago when I used to use agencies, I would ask them to have the young lady waiting at the door for me, and she would see me walking down the hall to the door, or see me as I got to it, then just open the door. I understand the 'traffic' thing, but in the business you would think they would have figured out a way around the 'just come in' scenario by now.  Because of that and a few other things I stopped using agencies.

Can you imagine what others things they are doing wrong.

It's not really that uncommon for ladies, especially high volume ladies to not want a littany of gentleman callers knocking on their door, but the usual solution is for them to simply watch for you through the peep hole and open the door as you approach. It not rocket science.

I would say the best thing for you to do is chalk this up to having "dodged a bullet" and move on to another lady and another agency, I am sure the community would love to know which agency it was so as to avoid them in the future.

Okay-Share with us what happened!! Jail ?  Got your wallet taken-butt whipped-car broken into-what happened??!!

What sent up the red flag was the operator and how she handled it. She got very impatient and was trying to hurry me in, she was very abrupt and IMO inexperienced. It very well could be how they handle themselves so I'm not going to out them publicly. Had the operator been calm and reassuring I think I would have more confident stepping in. But, never the less my 6th sense tells me I made the smarter choice and everyone here concurs.

Nothing too dramatic, really. Provider's boyfriend barged into the room, SCREAMING at her. He never came near me nor really directed his attention toward me. I jumped off, demonstrated world class speed dressing, and split. Call me a pussy if you must, but that scared the shit out of me! Bottom line, I had stepped over several of my own boundary lines to wind up there. I was in another state, visiting a non-TER provider that I only knew about because she had visited a friend of mine at his hotel room a year before. I wanted incall, so I was directed to her apartment. Old, scary part of town. She had mentioned that she had a roomate, but I made no inquires as to who exactly that might be. Flyin' blind with the autopilot set on dumbass mode...

... I get the apt number, go to the door, knock, she opens almost immediately and I go in. Never had an agency tell me to just go on in. I have heard of indies leaving the door ajar once they give you the room number & you're on your way up. I wouldn't like the "just go on in" thing either. Well, not for the first time going there anyway.

Even when I was right in front of the door and on the phone with the agency, they refused to have my date open the door. Their were 5 buildings in this complex, I could have easily gone to the wrong address being it was the first time there.

...and the person on the phone being rude too. That's a head shaker.

my experience.  Then the lady has left the door ajar on several occasions.  Agree you dodged the bullet.  Also agree that Reese will treat you in a professional and safe way.

Agencies tend to lean toward control and caution. Indies sometimes leave the door open and lay spread eagle on the bed.

I thought at the very least the door would be ajar or the operator would have been more understanding of the situation since I expressed my discomfort level.

I usually don't use agency's, but have had a great experience with Gold Club in the past.

There are two agencies I use who tell me to go in without knocking.  I was surprised the first time.  But what actually happens is that the moment I get there and reach for the door, it opens.  I much prefer this to knocking and waiting.  With the knock I have had to knock a couple times, wait feeling nervous, not looking around, staring at my feet, staring at the peep hole.  I prefer the no knock approach.

That is so funny if its the same place Im thinking. I had worked there for aprox 2 weeks and we were not suppose to lock the doors and have the guys just come in. It was always super awkward and overall just unsafe. Who knows if the client may ever come back knowing the door stays unlocked and just comes on in. It was definitely one of the reason I lefted for sure out of many. On the other hand I do see why maybe they felt that was a good idea so neighbors didnt continue to hear knocks, but hey Im with you on this gents. I dunno if I would just walk into somewhere new. The simple fact of the unknown!!!!!
