It's a personal preference, yes, but one that is based quite directly on bad experiences and/or racist tropes/stereotypes. All Black/AA men are not the same. And treating a race/group of people as a monolith is both poor logic and wildly offensive.  
Alas, we're all allowed to do what makes us "comfortable", so unfortunately, you and anyone else who might be excluded from a "picky" provider's list of potential gentleman callers all must deal accordingly.  
Rest assured, though, that there are plenty of providers that are open to seeing any gentleman who is safe, clean, and able to respect her boundaries and other requirements! [Please, make sure that you do to be a qualifying client!] I think the best bet, from this side of the door, is to determine what it is you'll allow (based on the previously mentioned categories), and work from there--but that's just how I prefer to operate. People can surprise you, and there's nothing like being open-minded and having a great experience with someone you might not have hand-picked yourself!

This is exactly what I was going to say. It is no different than age. If age weirds out the provider than neither of you are going to have fun. The same goes for any other preference that a provider may choose.

Age is a better indicator to the quality of clientele you are getting then race is. Also most ladies have a reasonable age requirement. It is normally 30 or 35 at the max. When you are in your twenties you are typically in school. So you probably don't have an extra $300 to spend on 1 hour of fun. Also you are surrounded by 18-25 yr. old pussy. So there is no need to pay for it.

based on their personal preferences.  The providers get called out on it because when someone is excluded, it is more visible, whether it is after screening or upfront in an ad.  The client's exclusions aren't as visible (unless they're in an ISO post), but they still happen with every single choice they make to see one particular provider instead of another.  It is always personal preferences that govern who we choose to get naked with, on both sides of the transaction.

what I would rather is my money and my character be deciding factors.  I am sure I deal with people who dont care for my Race all the time but who I am and my money decides business.  One guy who works for me flags a "confederate flag" on his porch which to me is like a Nazi symbol to a Jewish person; however, I have never brought it up and he refers to me as Mr. XXX, says no sir and yes sir, and when I have acomplaint or concerns he reasonably addresses it.  I always show him the respect that business dictates and he returns that respect and service in kind.

I think you missed the point I was making.  No one is trying to control what someone else does.  It is a matter of self respect and love for who you are,  to say "that's bullshit".  Ultimately, its a business, it really is.  So when someone advertises that they want  to do business with my "kind"/race(not just me my entire race), then I have enough self-respect and love for myself to say to them "you're a bigot and an idiot".

I am a black male and have seen this subject come up several times over the years and have seen comments from all sides.  I think there will be emotion anytime someone says something to or about you that means that they don't like or want you.  I know that we all have the right to choose who we want to see but those choices will create bad feelings and ill will with those who are excluded.  At the end of the day, we are all human and want to be thought well of and will be hurt if we are perceiving that we are thought ill of.  Just saying.....
