Gee, thanks for the screaming response! Now, this is in no way a slam to Bill, but I feel that now I must say a little more about this.
Having been involved with helping plan a few of, and attending most of the M&Gs from the past couple yrs, I was just offering a simple little reason that I have heard from a lot of attendees, and some who couldn't/can't attend, about the days chosen for these events.
And, as my esteemed colleague, Coyote, has listed in his response, please feel to free to host an event. I'm sure our usual organizer would welcome a chance to be able to be just an attendee instead of planner, booking agent, depositor, organizer, checker of people's references, accountant, security director, cuisine consultant, administrator and administrative assistant, message center, sorter, filer, secretary, typist, florist (nice touch--roses for the lady attendees), writer, director, producer, HOST, etc, etc, etc, and be able to just spend his whole time there doing what you would be doing anyway--meeting and socializing with the ladies, and not worrying about anything but how good a time he was able to have.
