We have now finished adding most of the features needed to support the new Hosts and Hostesses.

Hopefully you have all seen the new 'Report this post' feature.  We are now working on adding a 'Like/Dislike" feature, but this is not required to add the hosts and hostesses.

We will take the weekend and decide on the first two hosts and hostesses. We will have this posted by the end of Sunday. We will contact the first host and hostess and fill you in on what you should do. We will also have a board just for the hosts and hostess, so that we can get info to you and make sure that the experience to the users is the same across both of the boards with hosts and hostesses.

Thanks for your support on this!

I hope that will be added very soon and that, once ignored, a poster will stay ignored even if he changes his username.

Thanks!

I'm not so sure that I want the ignore to automaricly cover all other alias from the same user. It would be nice if that were an option on the button but just because one post is offensive doesn't automaticly mean all posts by the same person are. Everybody can have a bad day...and it wouldn't be too hard just to hit ignore again..

The ignore user button is silly. You have to click on someone's post to read it anyway. Can't you just ignore it by not opening it? If they do start the "ignore user" button, does that mean that any  thread this user starts, or branch in a thread, that every reply under it will disappear too? What if the replies are from people you like. You may want to read them. Or, are the replies going to stay, so now you have a whole bunch of nonsense posts, referring to nothing. And if the replies do stay and you decide to read them, what about the people who quote the op in their reply. Oops, now you have his post anyway, which you were trying to ignore.
As for if they do implement it, and you also ignore all the aliases of an ignored poster, wouldn't that sort of be a way to out aliases? That would kind of defeat the purposes of aliases. Yes, all the anti alias people are going to say "good," but there are many good practical uses for aliases and that is why they were allowed in the first place.
I say just ignore it by not reading it. Simple enough. It has worked all this time. My .02
