I use them in 2 ways.  I have those I agree with and have similar tastes...and those whom add credibility as far as the provider being "Safe" and not Leo.

CDav3818, MasonDixon, Gentle0man all are solid...and while he hasn't posted lately, JSpikes was one I completely trusted and agreed with.

They are accurate, descriptive, reasonable and logical.  Meaning they don't let emotion carry them away.  That makes them trustworthy and reliable.

There are guys who write more descriptive reviews than others and even one who I know that the content is mostly fiction.   I have also gotten a sense of who is a hard or easy grader and who's tastes are similar to mine.
There is one person I trade emails with and make recommendations because we have similar tastes.

The most helpful information in reviews for me is:
1. Are her pictures accurate (did she look better in person?)
2. Her attitude and performance
3.  What was on the menu, not necessarily a 1000 word essay (so I know if things I like are offered)

On the flip side it is painful to read ones that are 50 line paragraphs with no breaks.

I don't really follow any particular reviewers. I do look at the total number of reviews they have done. I look at the pattern of women that they are reviewing. You can get a feel for if a particular girl is screening or not. That's the big issue for me. If a guy says he called her up and she said come on over, I would never see her. Just not worth the risk. I do have one guy that I try to read his reviews. I do it because he basically says the same thing everytime. He usually reminds you that he has a big cock and the ladies either tell him that or he makes them gag during oral. Too funny.

JSpikes was good.  LSLarry has been a reliable replacement.   Both gravitate toward massage with forays with top GFE's

but somehow it seems/sounds like it would be "gay" to tell the world i read a certain guy's reviews...somehow this could be interpreted wrong so i wont....but a couple have always been dead on in a world where we've all experienced too many YMMVs

I don't follow any one or two, but I do read several before I see someone just to see if I would like the person or not. And Brian, I had TER hold one of my reviews because they thought I had another account. I think they thought it was you, since we have seen almost the exact same ladies. Lol. It has been corrected. We have good taste.

That's wild. Many of the same providers and the same whitelist. Horny devils think alike.

I periodically look at the active top 10 reviewers to see who they have been seeing recently. There's an interesting mix of folks there - some only go for high end girls that garner a 9 or above on looks and performance. Others are more arbitrary and dive into BP, CV and other sources INSTEAD of the agencies or high end. All have their place.

It's good to see who is seeing who and what the reviews are like, I use it mostly as a tool to identify new gems, or to avoid bad experiences, an agency owner once told me that a bad review from a top reviewer on TER is the kiss of death for a girl - she actually told me that the girl would be "no use to her" if that happened.

A bit melodramatic, but as well as the reviews themselves, us guys share by PM - so if a new girl is great, word spreads fast. If she is bad - same thing.

That is what all the guys on here are looking for.

I get at least 2 or 3 PMs when a review of mine gets posted asking for details. Frankly, if I know the guy or if he has a number of reviews, I will respond. Otherwise, I ignore. I assume the other senior reviewers experience the same.

I'm glad they check that stuff too. Just was frustrating defending myself. Lol. All is well.

Seems like it would be a tough fight. If you buy a membership they could verify identity that way I guess. Good to know thry do pay attention.

That's what I thought. I've always had a pay membership. Lol

I write reviews for myself, as a diary of sorts. That way, I can go back over a session to reminisce, or to see if I want to pay another visit to a provider I haven't seen in awhile. I therefore write my reviews as factually and to the point as I can. Essentially, what you read is what happened, good or bad.

I do typically get several pm's from gents asking about new ladies I've seen, and I do have a few "fans". One guy always asks me the same one line question, and that's it. I don't have to even read the pm to know what it's about, hahaha. As long as the guy isn't a complete unknown, I try to answer all the pm's I get, as I want to be as helpful as I can.

I've been in the hobby for 6 years now. I had no idea I'd written as many reviews as I have. I don't look at quantity, I look at quality. So, it came as a complete shock to me when someone pointed out that I was now in the top 10 in Atlanta. I'd honestly had no idea, and it means nothing to me.

If anything, I try to conceal that fact whenever I can. I had one provider actually tell me that she was nervous to meet a hobbyist with as many reviews as I have. That was a first. I'd imagine some providers may not want to see a hobbyist with a large number of reviews. But, while I don't mention I'm a top 10, I will continue to write, b/c as I said, they're for me more than anything.

I've had several girls say that my reviews have garnered them a lot of business. Fortunately, the opposite has not proven to be the case, though I doubt I'd know about it. I research as best as I can before seeing a new provider. That has led to very few low scoring sessions, but I'd still hate to think of a bad review of mine causing "the kiss of death" to a provider. If the session doesn't go well, I write about it, and move on. I also try to take suggestions.

I used to write 50 line paragraphs with no break, until someone suggested that I try using paragraphs. So, I started doing that. I worry about my reviews becoming too "dry", and try to vary the content as best I can, so that each review is unique. But, I'm always open to further suggestion.

Well Ginger....great question and I feel honored that I an help outa fellow hobbyist....my thought is if the beautiful ladies are putting all out shouldn't I put all out in my reviews? Seems fair....

Anyway...I like to read der411, and Roanoke's reviews....Sir C cracks me up when he describes his explosions -too funny-but I do enjoy his details too!

I do use reviews, but not just shear numbers. I try to get an insight into the ladies personality through reviews. Certain reviewers I disregard because their taste and mine are obviously different. Some I give more validity because of just the opposite. Numbers attract attention, but are not the determining factor. A bad review in a host of good ones does not make any difference since people, personalities, and disposition at the time of date. Most of us are wary of ladies who have all 9,9, 9.10, and 10,10's on ladies because of the shills and ladies who require it for you do do a review. Have had ladies demand it or no review. I will admit someone who has consistently bad reviews do not get consideration. The board personality on TER makes a difference. It makes a difference on those running agencies also.
