So I read some posts on another board that ladies should/would start charging guys a fee to provide a reference for them after their visits and or charge them a reference fee after giving you 1-2 free referrals.

Then I actually saw a couple ads for ladies that are charging an extra fee to actually screen you
i.e. $000 an hour + $00 screening fee.

It seems to me that this industry is getting like the banking industry, "squeeze um for all they got", five dollar fee here, twenty dollar fee there, what do you here think of such practices.

I for one thought that was all part of the rates you pay but I guess I'd be considered a local branch because some sh**, TO ME is getting ridiculous. Yes we have a right to charge, see whom ever, bla bla bla but damn is giving a reference that labor intensive?

giving references is just good customer service, and screening is a cost of doing business.

I agree. giving refs is just good customer service. Screening does not hurt us lol so why charge for that? Now some ladies that have assistants may be tring to cover the cost of the assistant but IDK
Seems like it would all be covered under the donation. Ladies all have different ways of doing things so I can only say what works for me. Damn if I had charged for all those refs!! LMAO!!
I dont mind giving refs at all and screening is to help us all. I wouldnt ever consider charging for such. I cant knock another lady for what works for them though. Different strokes for different folks ;)

I thought I heard them all before. Not only would I never pay such a fee, but any provider who charges for something like that would never get my business. The other question I have with that scenario is why would the fee be passed onto the john? Providers who institute such a policy should be charging each other. Either way, it sounds ridiculous.

I'm actually seeing a provider today that charges a very small screening fee.  I set the appointment up before I was aware of that and I'm very excited to see her and probably would have set it up even if I was aware of this, but it does seem a little odd.  I certainly hope it doesn't become the norm.

Any provider who engages in such things as absurd as this would immediately be placed on my personal Blacklist.  I'm amazed

Why a dude would do that is beyond me. But I guess it could happen. Lol

I met up with this one provider who was in and out of town periodically.  Over the course of the weeks after our session, she would occasionally send me text messages letting me know that she was offering a special, or available for the weekend, etc.

I told her that I intended to see her again, but it never happened.  I had to decline her offers every time she contacted me because the timing wasn't right.  One time I was going to contact her to see her but she was out of town.  Other times I declined her offers because I was either working or just having a low energy level day.

Eventually she moved out of state.  Since we knew each other and since she had given me a reference in the past, I thought it was okay to still use her as a reference when I wanted to see other providers (which was infrequent).  When she started to get calls from other providers and agencies asking for references for me, she didn't like it.

She called me up and let me know that if I wanted a reference from now on that I would have to pay her a fee per reference.  She sounded very upset over the phone.  I may be wrong but I think she got mad that I was seeing other providers (other than her) and that I never saw her again after that one visit.  I doubt she was charging a reference fee to everybody.

I hear from many women how slow it is and it is a buyers market in atl now.. So I guess theyre creatively trying to make $ but that wont last long. Guys wont go for it and they shouldnt. I loved giving referalls..Loved getting them too but only from specific sources.. Sigh its getting canabalistic out there in this economy.  Girls not giving referals or giving bad ones, then calling the guy and offering specials... The sense of community we once shared..poof gone :(  hopefully things get better someday :/

Newbie friendly ladies have to take on the extra risk of seeing someone who is new. I would think that screening would be already included in the donation. Screening takes about 5 minutes to complete and maybe a phone call or two.

References are important because it shows the ladies that the guys are decent and won't play games with the donation. My personal rule is that you never mess with someone's paycheck. That's how people buy food and clothes. Some ladies are references friendly, some are not. It is a personal choice. There is also screening website like P411, Date Check, and TER whitelist.

I thought that references were something that benefits everyone. So why charge money for safety.

Referrals are a personal choice. However, if you are newbie friendly. It is always good to give out some quality ladies to a guy who is still new to the hobby so he will stick around.

1. Bust or no Bust
2. He did it or his brother did it
3. A provider from there that tours here seems to not be credible at all.
4.I imagine that it would be hard to verify with a non credible provider.
5. With us that post reviews, we should have some credibility

Careful, next they will start asking a fee to leave them a review! :-)

Or, us guys can ask a review fee. Kidding.

Absolutely agree with you on the personal blacklist comment.  I am aware some ladies do not participate in giving references and that is their choice and I have no problem with that.  But charging for a reference after being compensated for a service?  Just SMH - I know many businesses that will sometimes offer incentives to customers for a recommendation, but this is backass backward.  Kinda makes me think guys should get compensated for reviews, but I don't wanna up that can of worms.

It is a good topic thread though since these are not ripoff ladies otherwise they would not have a reference to offer in the first place.

Curious though, from a practical standpoint, how would a lady even collect a fee for giving a reference?  I sure hope gents are not foolish enough to wire her money for this, especially since they have no way of verifying she followed through or what was relayed.  So wouldn't she have to see the guy again to collect?  And if so, sounds more like an sneaky ploy to get the guy to see her instead?  And even if it were all on the up and up, how could the receiving lady take any assurance from another provider who was specifically paid for the reference?

Still, have to give props to any lady that can pull this off as, just think of the residuals after she is "retired."

Some years ago, on a business trip to the west coast, I left my prescription sunglasses in my rental car at the airport as I was leaving.  Realizing my mistake, I called the rental car company as soon as I could.  They eventually called me back as they had my glasses & wanted to verify my mailing address.  In a couple of days I got a small package in the mail containing my glasses.  Also included was a form letter informing me that there was a $ 3.00 charge to cover sending me my glasses & requesting payment.  My first reaction was that I had my glasses so I had little incentive to send them $ 3.00; I also realized, understanding how big corporations work, that they could not possibly process a check from me for less than $ 3.00 in internal costs.  But being an honest guy I sent them a $ 3.00 check, all the while thinking they should just include this in the rate.  Yeah, if it was a set of golf clubs & it cost $ 80.00 to ship them then OK charge that (or send them COD), but $ 3.00?

So I feel much the same on this topic.  Where does it end--$ 3.00 for 2 long distance calls to check references?  Will I be entitled to figure out it took me 15 minutes to find the web sites & phone numbers of my references & deduct $ 25.00 (1/4 my hourly pay rate--maybe $ 75.00 if I'm a lawyer or plumber) from my payment?  At some point it all becomes silly and we will spend more time trying to figure out how much to charge for this or that part of making a date/providing a service. Put a rate out there that will cover your costs and let the market decide if it's a competitive rate or not.

buyer decides to pay or not.

When my bank started charging for ludicrous things, I changed my account to an online bank. Now they pay interest on my balance, gives me free checks, free ATM and they have around 5,000 ATM’s across the country.

Did exactly the same with my Investment account.

you and I agree.  a particular pornstar  I did an overnight with for over $3k actually wanted to charge me $500 dollars for a P411 OK. Then had the nerves to suggest "This is business"  I thought to myself no this is stupid... you just lost a customer.  If you dont understand the concept of "added value"  meaning somethings(reasonable of course) you just go ahead and do because it builds a relationship and rapport with your customer.  I am waiting on the day a provider wants to charge me for her to be "clean and bathed" for an appointment because water and electricity is overhead and "This is business"
