Independent Screening

I agree totally with pwilley. There is absolutely no legitimate reason to supply cc information. This leaves you much to vunerable to identify theft and any reputable site should know this.

I saw an ad for "Ms. Brooklyn" in which she gave no phone #, merely an email address. I emailed for more and received a response with her rules & requirement that I go to an independent screen site before she would give out any other information.

I have been asked for cell & work phone #'s before, but I backed off when they asked for CC info as verification that I was over 18. I was just wondering if anyone had actually gone through with this and what your experiences were.

I have never used one and never will.  I have heard far too many horror stories.  There is absolutely no legitimate reason for anyone to have your cc info to accomplish their so-called screening.

Coming from a Provider...
The point of that particular site she is using, they match your credit card info to your name to make sure you are real & not an alias.  The young lady is taking the easy way out. (my opinion)  There are several other programs that she can use to make sure you are legit & not le.  And if you have credible provider references, I would think she wouldn't need your work info.  But if your references are iffy, I'd understand her asking about work.

You might want to suggest for her to join P411 or DC.  Which are two of my favorites.

If I was a hobbiest, I wouldn't provide that kind of info either.  It's the holiday season; that just screams identity thief all over it!

Good Luck

when I first started in the hobby and before I was on TER (thank god I found it) and I sent a DEPOSIT! using the green dot card for an hour session.  Guess what...never heard from her (or him) again.  Such a scam!  Now older and wiser and doing my best from keeping others from the "rookie" mistakes.

PS- still see the pictures and ad 5 years later! lol
