I have a question for the group. There is an agency in ATL that lists it’s companions and whether or not they are “fully vaccinated”.  I presume that this is in regards to Covid vaccination.

However, the last thread regarding other vaccinations was several years ago. I am wondering about the HPV/Gardasil vaccination.  As a physician, I am aware that HPV can be a causative agent of cervical cancer and head/neck cancer.  Using barrier methods will definitely reduce the transmission of HPV which has been shown can cause cervical cancer. However, DATY and CIM can transmit HPV since these are generally done without barriers. The data is limited and not terrific on using mouthwashes,  brushing teeth, or alcohol rinses.  

I think that TER does an absolutely terrific job, listing all of the attributes of the providers. I think, adding a field as to whether or not the providers are HPV vaccinated would really be great. I think it gets into a very touchy subject if providers were to be asked to provide their most recent Pap smear results and whether or HPV was detected or not. If so, then, DATY should really be done with a barrier method such as a dental dam.  But knowing the Verified Pap Smear result would certainly be an added benefit.

My guess, and it’s just a guess, that most clients are above the age of being eligible for the Gardasil vaccination.  Conversely, I think most providers, but not all, are in the age bracket to receive the vaccine.

I have been impressed on how safety conscious the providers are being. I think that TER prides itself on safety as well as having fun. I think adding these items to the list of the providers attributes would be a nice addition. What do you think Atlanta?

I have my own concerns regarding this topic. In my own line of employment I have worked with head and neck cancer patients. They often have a very rough course. I have a friend who lost her husband due to head and neck cancer.

Like many other hobbyists out there I enjoy giving DATY. I enjoy giving and as well as recieving. After a session where DATY is involved this concern is always in the back of my mind. In the future I think that I will reserve this for providers whom I know very well and are low volume.

Would love to get some feedback and comments from both hobbyists and providers regarding this topic. PMS are welcome also.

I am glad that you are going to get the vaccination. I think all sexually active young women, or soon to be sexually active young women should get the vaccine. Despite all the safety measures the providers do, you should definitely do it not only for your own protection, but for your clients as well.

I also think that TER should post that somewhere on your profile. What do you think? I think having the Gardasil vaccination would be something that providers should be proud of!!  In fact, it might even get you more clients.

I completely agree! Those that are sexually active should have it. What’s the harm in it? I also agree that it could be helpful to have it listed. OR! Adding it to our websites and ad bios could also work in the meantime. Hmmm!
