Happy Ending? Hope so...

Saw her ad posting on Eros...called and inquired...I was asked to provide my full name, race, occupation and work main #. I provided all but the work main #. Offered by home tel# and refused. Offered TER handle and refused. Offered email confirmation through TER PM or personal email and was refused. I suggested that there were other ways to handle screening other than requesting the work main #. Hung up on. This gal is apparently associated with new girl in area Kendra (http://www.eros-atlanta.com/files/276111.htm). What is the view about giving out work phone numbers? I would only consider with a VERY high end agency. Experiences and useful suggestions appreciated; Hobbyist and provider input appreciated. I have learned that it is generally wise to "pass um by" when the requests are unreasonable.

For provider references? That's the first thing I ask after after name and number. Work information is only as a last resort.

I would never, ever give my full name, much less my work information.  Nor would I fill out one of those [oftentimes] silly/obtrusive forms found on most websites now.

There are too many great ladies in Atlanta that have good business skills, to accompany their provider skills, than to put yourself in such a risky position.  If a Provider doesn't give you their full name, address, other work information, etc, why in the hell would you give that to them? There are just too many ways a GOOD provider can safely verify clients and not put the client at risk, such as this Bimbo evidently requires.  MOVE ON!

They don't understand that a "work" number is not a guarantee of anything. I used to work for an organization that had a group whose main purpose was to provide employment backstopping. All a client had to do is provide the information that they wanted to use for backstopping and then if someone called in to request employment verification, the operator would look up the client's information and provide it to the caller. If the caller asked a question ouside of the information provided, it was cited as confidential and not to be released to the public. I'm surprised that there isn't more of a cottage industry around such things.

Only an "incompetent fool" would jump thru those kinda hoops for an appointment. If your references and TER handle aren't enough it's time to move on!

I would call to verify someone's employment if there were not other options. But, like I said it would only be as a last resort. And I also would not see them on an employment check alone. It would be in combination with something else.

Provider refernces are easy and the best judge of someone and I'm sure most providers feel this way. Wo ever taught her to screen was full of BS and I just hope she doesn't end up hurt because of it.

I'm self-employed and  work out of my house. When this happened with another provider, I gave her the number I used for my business. I also gave her information about my online business ad. Never had a problem when handling it this way. If a provider won't accept this, I'll just move on.

there must be some sort of misunderstanding because I do allow a TER PM from your TER handle with reviews from legit providers for screening. i apologize that you spoke with kelsey herself and she was not aware of the screening guidelines! Give me a call again and I will get it set up for you :)

kisses,
kendra

It appears you are her assistant and do her screening and scheduling. (making some assumptions) But why wouldn't she know the screening procedures since you are doing it for her? Wouldn't she be the one to set the procedures?
Seeking understanding here, and I'll leave it at that.

If a potential client has written TER Reviews, can provide references, and/or is on P411 that should be more than sufficient. Plenty of awesome ladies in ATL that do not require putting yourself at risk. Why jeopardize your career?

So kudos to Kendra for making the post addressing the situation and sending me a PM on TER apologizing and offering to setup appointment; I have responded in kind thanking for the reachout and suggesting an appt time for later this week. Hopefully a happy ending for all involved and a learning experience as well. Either way I will post the outcome here so others may be informed.

they use to weed out those who might show up pounding on their incall doors unannounced and without appointment.

Same thing happened yesterday to me too.  I wanted to set up a time but was asked for this same information.  I do not use my Last Name or Business # in the hobby and have been able to see many amazing Atlanta women over the years.

Also, these ladies seem very text-unfriendly.  I use text regularly to set up initial plans and finalize plans before I leave the office.  It is hard to pick up the phone and speak around colleagues!

And i justbrealized why ter handles are not very sufficient form screening. I scheduled to appointments from posters in this thread through ter and what do you know... They both cancel! One cancelled with no advance notice at all and the other cancelled not only once but twice!!! I have my reasons for screening, i blacklist and dnc those who cancel/confirm, its playing around and it jepordizes my business!!! Great advice is too go through with an appointment once you schedule it. I believe in second chances but not in this buisness.

Now everyone can know the outcome of this whole thread!

I tried :) :) :)

I had requested an appt for Thursday PM on Tuesday AM; by Wednesday late PM no confirmation and my schedule changed so I requested Friday PM; no confirmation by Thursday late PM and my schedule changed again; requested Sunday PM appt and requested confirmation by Saturday PM; no confirm; called 1  hour prior to appt on Sunday PM and Kelsey was expecting me; downtown location not driver/park friendly but got to meet Kelsey...real sweetheart...nice appt..review pending...will see again.  Communications may require improvement; Kelsey does not.
