The thread below begs a legitimate question.  When a local agency or Indy that is active on these boards is indeed busted for prostitution, doesn't the hobby community at large have a right to know in order to protect oneself?  

Let's say, hypothetically speaking, a local agency owner/operator and several of its providers were arrested for pimping and prostitution this weekend, shouldn't this be posted and appropriate warnings made on these Boards?  I can understand agency owners or the providers not wanting this information out; however, their loss of income from such disclosure, IMHO, is far less important than those unsuspecting guys that may be now trying to contact the agency only to discover [later] that the agency's phones, computers, etc have been confiscated and he is calling, texting or emailing LE.

What is the proper protocol in these situations?  Of course, I'm assuming that any arrest is substantiated and accurate, rather than gossip.  

They should know... It just doesnt have to be openly posted on the board. Thats my opinion.

There are no "what about me" being addressed here, like some coverup or something.  The fact of the matter is sadly enough, their date in court has been established, nothing is going to change that, but if email and phones are still on, a whole bunch of new dates could be made and not of the type everyone around here are so fond of..

Its apparent something is going on, but who is first, what is on second and I don't know is on third, cause no one has told me jack, so I'm hanging tight with the green until i know i'm safer then the situation allows me to believe at this time, because in the end its all about me..... No matter what anyone post, removes from a post or decides not to post...  And it doesn't have to be ugly or mean spirited.....

I got an email from a client stating that an agency (no, he did NOT name names) got hit last week and a friend needed some help. He was hoping that I might point him in the right direction.

I didn't even respond. How could I? I haven't seen this client in over six months. I'm not even sure it was actually him.

To inform the community of info that would help everyone. If backchannel is the only way, only a few who know each other would be informed and the whole community would be hurt.
How can those of us who are not tuned into this backchannel know otherwise?  or is the backchannel big enough that it includes most of the community.

Back channels and "networking" is PRECISELY why and how incorrect rumors and gossip spread.  I've not heard any reasonable excuse why those busted - especially when an Agency - shouldn't be posted in the open on the Boards.  Why on earth are any of us paying for this service if that critical type of information isn't shared?

We are a sub-culture of mainstream society. That's universally understood and accepted. The purpose of sites like this is to give participants in that sub-culture a place to congregate, commiserate, support, and share information.
What unfortunately happens, because it's human nature, is that the "community" becomes fragmented. People draw lines, form alliances, and create little smaller groups. Gals against guys, guys against gals, groups of guys against other guys, groups of gals against other gals.....sheesh....it's ridiculous at times.

When it's said or believed that "some" things should stay off the boards...that creates a huge can of worms and only complicates things further.
Who decides what should or should not be on the board?
Who decides who is or is not in the private backchannel loop?
Who decides who has access to valuable information...and who is left in the dark like a sheep waiting to be sheered?

If you allow or foster the idea of a sub-culture inside our little world...then you are *creating* and feeding ugly beasts like WJ and his spineless minions. You support the darkness that allows cockroaches like that to run freely and spread their disease un-checked.

This community has overall done a good job of policing it's own. While we are a culture unto ourselves...we still have rules and a code of 'honor' of some sort. We sniff out and squash the traffickers, the abusers of the naive, the rapists, the pimps, and so forth.
If we get to a point to where "some" things are only handled backchannel....then we are forming that backchannel group to where only the 'cool kids' know what's going on.....and leaving the rest of our community to swing in the wind.
Then the 'cool kids' fight amongst themselves to find some kind of leader of the outsiders.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks Lord of the Flies on this one. lol.

If someone gets busted....it's public information.
It happened...it's out there....it's no lie.
It is what it is.
The community at large should know this, whether or not they search news items every day, or belong to a certain circle of private contacts. Knowledge protects us all.

TER has always had a policy (don't know if it's a written "rule") about not posting personal information or links that provide that. There's no need to use the forum to specifically embarrass or call people out....but getting general information that is factual and supportable is why we are here. Everyone has the right to know.

Thanks for the compliment, i think, but..... Not everyone that is a paying member here is into the back channeling and networking that seems to be so popular in this city..  Quite frankly, i have to work , and 2 jobs at that in order  to take care of  all my committments and hobby too, thus there is no time to network, nor am i real comfortable with the drama and lack of privacy that seems to go hand and hand with it quiet frequently.

I'm really don't understand your reluctance about it, other then the potential for board drama explosions that frequently come along with anything contraversial on this board.

This is a highly convention based town.  I know if i was traveling to another town as business traveler, that as a paying ter member hopefully someone had the guts to post a number i should not be calling.....  Simple as that.

I'd rather see a Hobby News post that so and so met with an unfortunate visit with the law and here's the link to the news file. Then, people can start PMing and determine what the overall effect is.

why in the world would it not be posted here?  Not all of us are part of the "backchannel".  We have wives and SOs and lives that would be ruined by an arrest.  I'll accepts the risks but if I step into something when a simple warning on this board would have prevented it, then this board (which I contribute to) hasn't done me a lot of good.  Let's spread the word when LE rears its ugly head.

Also, LE can kiss my ass.  What I do with my money, with a consenting adult, should be my business.  (Had to throw that one in there)

I second the notion expressed by many posters here that arrest/ bust info should be posted here. It is for everyone's safety including the case when an indie provider might call a busted agency for a reference and actually will be talking to an LE etc. who has gotten hold of the communication channels of the agency.

As far as what we hobbysts should do - I for one will follow what osf1 suggests for himself in his earlier posts - keep the greens to myself till info becomes clearer! Surely not calling agency ... until we know which one was busted.

While I am a proponent of posting news of arrests directly on this board, unless there are handcuffs involved (and not the pink, fuzzy kind) I don't want to know about it.  Gossip serves no purpose other than to get people worked up and I'm sure it's frustrating for you.

I can think of no more valuable piece of info for the board than what we are talking about.  Of course, that means facts and not rumors. And if there is some strong desire to post rumor, it ought to be fully annotated as such.

Sophisticated. Anyone who will take the time to research dekalb county arrest records for last Saturday will find a man and woman who were both areaasted for exactly the same charges. No need to list personal info which is against policy here. You can do your own research to find the answer if you must know the identities of the owners.

As osf1 eludes to in the post above its a good idea to stay clear of anyone involved presently or anyone who has worked there in the past.

Then when I posted my post asking if anyone had any info, not naming a single agency, you got all pissed off because your only concern was how it was going to affect your business. Everyone know what GC is doing. He is too smart. If you look at the marketing of te fake Indies you will be able to tell who is fake and who is not. A lot of us have left GC and went on our own because we were tired of GC and their games.

Why are they still operating like nothing has happened? They've posted their 'independents' in today's photo thread and EVERYONE knows they got a girl busted this weekend. So, what's the deal here?

Agency owners like money.  They peruse money in different ways.  One way is to undermine the cred and safety of their competitor agencies so that more clients might come their way.  They do that by constantly spreading false information, innuendo and gossip through all channels available presenting it as real deal insider's  news usually involving  bad practices such as drug use, high traffic-risky incall, dangerous boyfriends, disease and hygiene issues, and retention of personal info.  All provided for "your safety", the owner's "concern for you".  Of course the owner doesn't mind if you do business with these scary and dangerous agencies,  the owner likes you and cares for you so much he or she just doesn't want to see anything bad happen to you as the reason for these sincere and heartfelt warnings.

What then becomes the question, would one go so far as to drop a dime on another agency?

Sure, some agencies are top-notch professional, offering the best for best price with class and discretion.  Unfortunately,  that puts them in the sights of those that compete in other ways.

In these matters, maybe independents represent the lower risk profile.

I believe those involved in bad business practices should be exposed for doing so. Its their own fault being dragged through the mud. Only being honest and helpful in your business will guarantee no drama. Its funny how someone obviously on Gold Club's side accused Brinkley of selling them out to LE... why was that said? Did Brinkley get busted too? Seems to me Gold Club has some things to get straitened out. Better screening or something. Obviously someone is being greedy and is not being careful. And exposing everyone else in the process. Not everyone in this business have ever heard of TER and therefore have no knowledge of what's going on.
We are very exposed to agency referrals from any of the recent busted ones or disgruntled girls running their mouths! Really sucks for anyone who are doing the right thing and unknowingly contacts or is contacted by LE.

And neither do I. But I have spoke on the things I know the facts to. She retired last Tuesday. Do I need to take a picture of the text and upload it? All of this happened after she retire.

And yes she worked for a couple of agncies before going Indy. Most gals did, as did I.

We really do not know what is next.  I have talked to one agency and they have not been busted but they are now being very careful and only seeing past regulars.  Hope everyone feels much safer since LE is protecting us from what 2 or more consenting audults wish to do behind closed doors. Geeezze

The theme seems to bust or busts and when you Google for busts in 10 different way, nothing comes up. Was the bust carried out by DHS? and it has national security implications. This day and age, there is absolutely no reason to fan the flame without checking.

Rest assured, if there was bust of the scale you all are talking about, it will be on the internet.

You're not very smart if you think all the arrests made in this business are news stories. When they go to court is when you'll hear about this. Maybe.
Just because no agency names were released at the time of arrests don't ya think they may be trying to build a STRONG case against the owners. I wonder if releasing all info would help or harm their investigation?  Hmmm,  now think about that for a second.

You are right. I have never worked with you. I have nothing bad to say about you or your agency or for that matter the ones that were busted either. I've never heard a bad thing since you split off from that other thing. (SR)

 But I do stand by my previous statement about the discounts that most of these agencies do for their clients. Not really in the best interest for the girl. IMO

 I can scream when some owners come on here acting like they LOVE their girls but we are all a commodity and disposable. (Again not saying that about you) But you gotta know that its true with most of these agencies.

There are some that are terrible that way.. And one of the reasons... we are not....anymore.

Our girls NEVER share in any discount. I didn't realize that perception was out there?! When I do my weekly special, I do it to drive business in for my girls. Read the dates on our reviews....many girls have been with me for a year or more. The reason for that loyalty is that I treat everyone with respect and genuinely  care about the ladies I work with.
