I recently heard from a well-known provider that a well-known agency was broken up after a police sting. I won't name names, but many of you are already aware of the agency to which I'm referring. Anyway, since then, I've been a paranoid about getting caught up in such a sting operation.

Is there a high risk of a hobbyist such as myself being busted, or do the police focus on providers? Are the chances of trouble greater with an agency as opposed to an independent? Any insights would be appreciated!

Whether you agree or not, hobbying is still illegal here in Georgia.  That said, you (as well as all of us) are knowingly participating in an illegal activity.  Yes, that means there is risk.  No one is immune.

I of course was asking about how great the  risk is. Thanks for the wise ass, purposeless remarks. There's always someone on a forum who has to act like a dick.

I think the risk is minimal.  If a agency or particular girl
is being watched then it would be a timing thing for the
dude as in wrong place wrong time.

I remember a "story" of a agency bust being initiated by a whacked out
wife who had her hubby followed by a private dick, who in turned called the local
flatfoots to a certain joint offering services.  The poor sap was given a once over when
he came out and of course sanf like a canary...bad times and would have sucked for any
gent caught in there when the fuzz talked their way in.

Bottom line is agencies have an extra risk as there are more girls and more gents to a place
but you never know who has drawn the interest of Leo.

I have always thought (right or wrong) that an agency would more likely to get busted because LE can get more bang for their buck by going after an agency with several providers rather than a single indy provider. I would hope that the agency would take precautions to protect their clients like deleting last names, work info etc after screening. I had used said busted agency once right before it was busted but so far nothing has happened. The agency told me they only kept first name and phone number as reference for future visits. If that is true, I have nothing to worry about because my phone is an unlisted burner phone that I buy minutes for as needed.

Well the truth is LE gets money to rid the community of whatever they decide they need to rid themselves of.  So it simply just depends on whose looking at what.  Of course an agency has way more exposure than an Indie so they make better targets but that doesn't mean that an Indie girl isn't cooperating with LE to save her own butt.  So, it's a roll of the dice.  Generally the target is the owner of the agency not the girls or clients.  Either way, you gotta pay to play.

So it is about equal.

You can lessen your exposure by seeing reputable and well-reviewed agencies and independents.  Your job is to spend enough time on this board to sort out who's who.  And do not go cheap in this hobby.  Think of the money you're paying to the more reputable providers (versus the Backpage ones) as anti-LE insurance.  And never, ever talk money for sex. Simply drop the envelope and that's it.

Haha, Anti-LE Insurance.  I like that.  I agree.  I don't pay less than $350 on my "premiums".

Targeted themselves with the horrible things that were happening there and what those girls had to do to preserve their jobs.... They asked for it in my opinion... Also my opinion is that most arrests are usually hotel sting operations. They get a room and call and call and call Till they fill up another room with 10-15. Now thats bang for the buck! AlsoThey feel theyre protecting a Lone Woman ...You have no idea how many rapes,robberys and murders of prostitutes in hotel rooms happen. Unless an agency gets in their face by doing stoooopid stuff like they were or ran 24/7 and no managment frontier land LOL they leave us that know how to behave alone.
