L pal, I told you a long time ago that Roger would be the Braves' downfall. After 13 years, do you think we can go all the way..... you know what I mean!!!

they had better hurry up and buy their tickets now.

These are the bumbling Braves I have come to know and love.

They finish the regular season easily, in first place, 10 games ahead, then go into the playoffs, and play really relaxed, with no heart or emotion, like it is a piece of cake, and just being there is an accomplishment.

They seem to play like they are more interested in golf and fishing...

braves need to count their lucky stars that they didnt jail furcal for the postseason!!!    it's not just furcal , why should all professional atheletes who get in trouble be above the law? if it were an ordinary american , we'd be in jail. basically , furcal needs to be in jail. period. exclamation point.

gug,
That simply is not completely true.  The fact is that typically after being sentenced, most ordinary Americans with at least "semi-important" jobs are given time to "get their affairs" in order before having to report to jail.  After all, judges/society is punishing the individual, not the entire team, or company, or family, etc.  Martha Stewart is one example.

I'm not saying I totally agree with that practice, and I even think that there is probably more slack and/or time given to high profile atheletes on average than other "ordinary Americans."  However, that is the way it is.

Now if we could just figure out a way to light a fire under the other 24 Braves players and give them some incentive to keep playing the way Furcal has, then maybe we would not be down 2-1 to Houston right now.  Maybe Chipper and J.D. should have been arrested too?

You're right there, the way the Braves have played this and Octobers past is a crime!!!!!
