Newbies..... At least get some experience under your belt before whining away.

I've been on many boards over the years and many have had problems with aliases. Guys, we already have a supposedly anonymous board handle and less you care to share at your discretion. All the aliases I've seen are generally used to flame other people and cause trouble. You're buddy supports you under his main handle and then disses you under an alias getting some sort of personal satisfaction. I don't get it. I have NEVER used an alias. I say what's on my mind and if I'm too embarrassed or whatever I just don't post the comment. Aliases have been the downfall of many good boards. The one bad apple syndrome...

Thoughts respectfully posted on this will be much appreciated or all you with aliases can flame away.

I have to say that this is really a tired subject..... ok do away with aliases and the board will turn into "411" and picture threads........ who wants that??? I agree sometimes they create drama and things get out of control..... You have to take the good with the bad.... my two cents.....

You Can Not use your real alias and another alias in the same thread. Whether that be to support or to drag down. Thats not allowed. That will get you moderated/banned quick fast by DL. So that statement above is incorrect. The moderation is the first warning step but, if you continue to use 2 names in a thread it can lead to being banned.

In an extended dispute both parties are wrong.

Example of an entirely appropriate alias.

Whether good or bad, they are allowed.

Now Bunbiter- go find you a nice alias, and settle down, young man.. LOL

Aliases can convey different things from different personas.  Not necessarily to flame because the moderators will jum on you if you truly cross the line.

I don't expect everyone to share my opinion and respect alternates. Just stating my experience and views. This is a different board and with different rules. Note as membership grows and changes many subjects must be reintroduced. New to THIS board I hope that what insight I have gleened over the years will be helpful to new and old. It's all good. "Enjoy the life"
