You gotta give props for creativity

I am lucky enough that in 3 years I only had 2 NCNSs, but got few last moment cancellations stories that take a prize.

All time favorite is when Mr X cancels last moment, then 15 min later I get text from him "Joanne, I am downstairs"

He double booked, cancelled on me, and went to see another girl but wrote down my number.

I was soooooooooooo tempted to text back with random room number and "sure come on up", but that would have been too bitchy.

And one of my best friends managed to drop his into a toilet.

So yeah, there are some "dog ate my phone" and there are some legit phone horror stories.

Few months ago my crackberry decided to die 15 min before i was supposed to get into contact with someone.  3 frantic reboot attempts later it came to life just in nick of time.

Since then always carry one of those cheap disposable track phones for "just in case" situations.

came across this cleaning email from a couple years ago:

"Hey xxxxx...i'm really sorry I missed your calls....I dropped my phone
into the bathtub while taking a bath this afternoon and i'm hoping it
will dry off soon and come back on.....sorry I missed you, raincheck??"

Sorry I didn't get your messages, but my dog swallowed my phone, and every time it rang, he took a dump on the floor. By the time I got him to the vet and got the phone out, the phone had quit working."
