A safe happy place. Posts don't have to have value, but just be there.

Hey. Asked for anyone's address lately? ;)

I couldn't have said it better myself.

TER boards are the new Twitter of sex and non-sex related activities. Of course, the self- and group congratulatory practices (e.g. You're so classy. No, you're so classy. Aren't we both so classy?) are still in full effect, thank God.

SOOO much more informative, edgy, and fun...much like your personality!

I know I feel way more comfortable. Oh, and with no provocative topics to help separate the 'reals' from the riffraff (you know, we do have sensitive personalities on this board that must be considered even if they contribute nothing except taking up space), safety in who you choose to do business with (whether lady or gent) is no longer an issue. That's a plus!

Since they have no idea what they're doing yet, a 'newbies' chances of getting arrested, robbed, or hurt have went up expedentially because they don't have the chance to figure out from posts and such who's legit and who's not. No one's real thoughts are shared because of over moderation. Ain't that great!

At least they're more comfortable...

I highly doubt any one's chances of getting in trouble went up EXPONENTIALLY based on the much needed changes to the TER forums.

Besides, if you're afraid of getting burned, don't play with fire.

The op's story is his own and his insight is valid. The newbies would do well to listen up as he has 'played with fire', gotten burned in the past, and shares in detail whether it is through the board or reviews. Knowledge like his shared on this board gives insight to the process which in turn gives newbies more real time examples...examples that they may soon face themselves. Handling it wrong can be the difference between being harmed or not. When these types of posts are moderated because someones 'feelings' get hurt, the newbie who could learn from it the one that suffers. Just common sense.

A polite board ain't gonna help him or her one bit after they've been robbed. Making TER boards more 'polite' for newbies does not make the hobby 'safer' for them. That's absurd.

With over 75 reviews, strong relationships, and good standing in this community, a lesson on 'playing with fire' from questionable posters with no reviews is laughable, whoever that poster may be.
