A great photo, or photos, is the best marketing campaign when aimed at men. Secondly, and in my opinion just as important, is building your brand. In other words, customer satisfaction.
Just my personal preferences.
Really agree with this post. If I don't have a visual attraction, sorry to be so shallow, then the finest marketing text won't matter. But a pretty picture can be undone by misspellings, poor grammar, ads placed on sites that I perceive as less than top notch (no backpage for me just from what I've learned from reading these boards and perceived risks I don't want to take, for example), or even just a marketing these that seems targeted to different tastes.
One example years back, a fantastic now-retired lady seemed to appear from nowhere on a reputable agency's site. Photos that caught my eye immediately. And after having a great first date with her, in the afterglow she asked why I'd never called her before when she was indy and had been sharing an incall with a lady I'd seen. She said she knew our mutual friend had suggested I call her. And a light bulb went on for me and I realized what former name she had used as an indy and I told her two things: 1) I kept thinking those great legs looked familiar; and 2) Her new photo shoot was completely differently themed, projected a different "type" or theme, whereas the previous photos (except for one amazing leg shot) had seemed like a completely different girl.
But to take a step beyond looks, witty postings that hint at wit, or sense of humor, or just plain intelligence and perspective, those always catch my attention. YMMV.
